this is not true, several of the very good aircraft mods are only on github.

Yea youā€™re right. Although mods are an exemption though since they are constantly evolving and need github to be efficient. Although most of them do have links in flightsim.to but most are outdated.

Other than my home airport, Iā€™ve not spent any money on payware and have found more than enough to satisfy me and keep me occupied at flightsim.to. I fear that going down the payware route could end up costing Ā£000s bearing in mind that I may only visit an airport or an area once in a while.

I fly from my home airport several times a week, so feel the money spent on that is worthwhile.

I just tried downloading something just now with my Adguard activeā€¦ I can still download files. I dunno if itā€™s just on your adblocker app thatā€™s doing it. Iā€™m also on the New Edge browser. if that helps. (Iā€™ve stopped using chrome years ago)

Sometimes I wish that Adblockers have some algorithm in place that sends out reports to the adverts that the ads are visible and weā€™ve viewed them, while also blocking it from our view. That way, as far as the advertisers and the website host is concerned, the ad was loaded the viewers have seen them and therefore, the ads pays the website host for them running ads.

But as far as weā€™re concerned, thereā€™s a layer on top of the ads that masked it from being viewed so that we donā€™t get bothered by it, but the website host still gets paid from the ads that was ā€œloaded and viewedā€.

Yeah, I knowā€¦ which makes it even better. It has all the good thing about the chromium engine, but without Googleā€™s bloat and poor RAM management. Plus the clear history and cache on browser close is something I canā€™t live without.. iykwim :smirk:
