with AI contrails and A310 as I tested with A320 and did not have FPS issue.
This is a product I really donât understand.
I donât have it but watching the videos most effects, not all of them but most, look ugly.
Water effects look ugly, the Aurora is really terrible (whatâs all that purple color?), meteors (?).
If we factor a $25 price, the FPS impact and the fact that MSFS 2024 is around the corner I really donât get why would anyone buy this.

Personally I purchased prior to official release, as I am a regular customer to parrallel42, I like this product. I personally not had any FPS hits (I assume as I dont know my FPS) Still smooth flights. Yes it is very subjective. AI contrails look great personally in the air. People go on about prices I can spend ÂŁ25 in the UK just going to the pub for 2 hours. Its not that expensive in grand schemes of thingsâŠI went to Florida airport ordered two bottles of beers and two Gin and tonicsâŠbilled 72 dollers.
Its all relative.

The most abundant atmospheric gas is molecular nitrogen, and it radiates promptly in deep blue and red colors. Mixing these together gives purple.

In 1000 photos of Auroras you will see purple in about 1 or 2.
Iâve seen and photographed Auroras and the P42 depiction is really horrible.

Show me what they should look like 
This is quite a typical example of a strong display. In many cases it is even fainter and smaller, and the important thing is that it varies a lot, the cameras always capture more color than what you can see with your eyes so consider it about 50% fainter than any photos you see to get an idea of how it looks in real life. Its movement is quite subtle and can go brighter or less bright along some minutes.
There is another add-on for MSFS that while it also exaggerates the way an Aurora looks normally it is -in my opinion- a lot better than what P42 did with SimFX.
This is from the sim and looks a lot more realistic than the SimFx version.

P42 is very receptive to user feedback so I recommend you notify them directly.
They may add an option to control the frequency of rare color appearance.
I agree with this. Halfhearted testing shows AI traffic injected with FSLTL and AI contrails on, I take a noticeable FPS hit, roughly 10-15 or so.
Setting quality to Performance helps with this a bit, but frames only recover to what I consider normal if I completely disable SimFX.

Hi, I have same FPS hit, I contact support and this is a known issue with TCAS and contrails SimFX .
Hope they solve that soon.

Try the last hotfix update and tell us if the issue is resolved 
Liking the mod but have one niggle, The contrails disappear very abruptly, they should be fading out, not like they are now. Can this be improved upon maybe?
Great mod just still getting pretty heavy fps hits on my high end pc mainly on live traffic and even ai offline with the airliners . Performance mode seems to try to help it but not much affect at all . With zero traffic all is smooth . Still some work to be done here .

This is from yesterdayâs latest update . It seems to have pauses and bad fps with anything live traffic or ai , even in the most dense areas . I also tuned it down to the lowest settings but I get these bad pauses and poor frames on a 4090 and 4070ti super graphics cards .
