There are no addons.

Bonanza. I tried several.

  1. Description of the issue:

Binding Parking Brake Off and On seems to succeed but the actions do nothing.
Binding to Toggle Parking Brake works fine.

  1. Bind parking brake off and on to a stick.
  2. Launch an aircraft
  3. Attempt to turn the parking brake off using the bound button

WinWing throttle. The same buttons work with the Toggle Parking Brake bind so it isn’t the throttle.

Did you remove the chocks?

Either way its a bug, but once I removed chocks I was able to disengage park brake.

As mentioned, pressing the “Toggle” version worked. So either the Toggle version of the bind auto-removes chocks and the On/Off version doesn’t. Or there were no chocks.

I only had chocks on one flight, the same one where it started me in walk-around mode. I’m not sure why that flight was different to the others. Some I started cold and dark (my preference) and some started on the runway with engines on. Brake On/Off works in none of them.

• Yes, changing parking brake keys does not save. Default keys are Ctrl and symbol that I don’t even have on my English keyboard! Symbol looks like a bracket with the long edge on the bottom???

•No key binding will work for parking brake SET, ON or OFF. Tested with Cessna 172 and CJ4. Mousing the control in the cockpit does work.

I don’t think the chocks are relevant here. The handle in the cockpit should always move when the bound key or button is used.
I have landed and then on the taxiway tried to set the parking brake with the bound key and it would not set to ON. No chocks involved there.

I came here after Googling the problem also. Happened since my first flight in MSFS2024 using the default C152 and default sim. All chocks etc removed. Using a Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant I bound the Parking Brake OFF and Parking Brake ON controls to a rocker switch just as I did in the past in MSFS 2020. Same happens if try assigning to different buttons. Just does not work no matter which aircraft. The repeat option in for each is disabled. Clearly a problem

I have the same problem. Ihave to use the mouse to activate the parking brake. I can’t use the mouse to pan around so I’ve used the controller to look around. Light switches work on the Barron but no lights come on. Landing gear lever was inverted. Button assignments are buggy

Parking brake binds work for me. I have it assigned to a switch on the honeycomb B. However, none of the keybinds work for the two avionics switches.

For me the problem was the parking brake coontrol of the Airbus Throttle, I had to disengage parking brakes from there.

Having exact same issue, just having to use toggle brakes as the workaround for now. Good thing I have this cool hardware!

Has anyone who has these 2 commands bound to hardware switches or kb shortcuts tried dev mode in the sim and looked at local variables to see if SOMETHING is having its value changed? That might tell us a lot!

• Yes. I have the same issue. The parking brake on/off bindings do not work on any input device.

• I have tried the bindings on my winwing throttle base, my ursa minor joystick and keyboard. The bindings do not work on any of the devices.

I think this should be a high-priority fix, because it should be an easy win. I have a fancy toggle switch on my throttle labelled “parking brake on/off” and would love to be able to use it.

Hi, same problem with pad on pc. I deactivate the use on the X button in the combo rb +x buttons on parking brake toggle. I think is a bug bc when i manually deactivate the brakes from the cockpit the pedal went down and the manifold opens, then when i realase rb +x on the pad the pedals go up back and the brakes set automatically backwards. So in my option there is only rb and parking brake works fine. But the taxy on the runway seem to be very slow. How to set the pedals for brake, would be the aswer… thanks

Same problem in fs2020 with the Caribou. I’m going to check other aircraft over the next week, but the problem of it only working via the toggle is not a new one.

Same with the Longitude.

Toggle Parking Brake works.
Parking Brake On & Off does not work.
