Passenger Transport Missions Are Unplayable

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Passenger transport freelance & employee missions are completely unplayable. For the Boeing 737 MAX employee missions, I either get soft-locked before taxiing or cannot load them at all. If I skip to taxi, the mission fails and says I left the gate too early. For the Saab employee missions, my game either crashes when trying to load the mission or I get into the mission for about 5 seconds before it fails and says I left the gate too early. The same thing happens for the ES-30 freelance missions, the same mission fail bug occurs and my landing gear is broken. I had to sell that airplane because I could not use it at all. Passenger transport missions are a main feature of this game and I cannot even play them.

I have no community mods or add-ons.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Choose an employee or freelance mission in the airline passenger transport category
  2. Start mission (bugs occur whether or not I edit the flight plan in the EFB)
  3. Go through boarding process up until taxi (if the game does not bug or crash before then). If game soft locks, which it does every time, skip to taxi and it will fail the mission.

This also occurs with the Boeing 737 MAX. I get soft-locked trying to request taxi clearance. Skipping to taxi gives me that mission failure.

This is what I get for 20 minutes over the last 3 times trying to launch my first airliner career mission.

Asobo fix this!!!

There’s something else to make passenger’s flights unplayable: their talking and voices, always something like “I’m so happy to share this with you”, or “I was expecting to have drum beats when we were taking off”, those annoying nonsense kind of things. It would be nice to have an option to simply disable their voice and shut them up, keeping ATC clearance and things like that.

What exactly do you mean by “soft locked”? Do you have a screenshot of what you see? I’m planning to do these missions soon. I just did the mission to unlock them.

Happened to me 3 times in a row with the ES-30. Start mission. Skip to taxi. Instant failed mission, broken landing gear, millions of dollars lost.

Hi guys.

Yes I am having the same problem with teh Heart Aerospace ES-30.

Im outside the plane, if I get into the cockpit, there are no mission steps, I wait 1 minute is fails the mission saying hte preflight steps were not completed.

If I try pressing alt-n to skip to taxi outside the plane, I get the same result.

Tried two different airports.

One of the times it wrecked my landing gear as well, at the cost of 250k to fix.

Tried several times not, it fails teh missions steps even though none are shown, this has happened now maybe 6 out of 7 times, and one of the times it wrecked my landing gear even though I didn’t even move.

Same here, I can’t complete any quests with an airliner because the game freezes during communication with the control tower!

Have you guys ever tried re-installing MSFS 2024 particularly if you originally installed in the first three days after launch? I’ve seen a number of people saying that fixed some of their issues.

I have not had much problem doing these missions, but I’m also not trying to skip anything. Biggest problem I have is the ES-30 bug with the batteries not lasting very long, and I have little idea what I’m doing with the 737 though I can manage for the most part.

I don’t see that anyone responded to my question about what was meant by “soft locked”. What do you mean by that?

• At the moment I’m having this issue in an airport without jet bridges. My career b737 is stuck in that airport.

I reinstalled around 21th december and still have this issue;
I guess for soft-locking they mean my situation: my career 737 is in an airport and everytime I try to make a passengers mission, it fails right at the beginning because “i left parking stands without passengers” and it damages my landing gear.

Such a shame because I was hoping the 737 would work. Oddly it does work on the big yellow star employee missions. I am guessing then it might have something to do with where you are trying to take off from?

I confirm this issue! To the point where I don’t even play the game anymore while waiting for a patch. The missions with airliners are bugged: the control tower doesn’t respond, or the “Enter” key doesn’t work! (Even trying manually doesn’t help.) The autopilot barely works, and only occasionally.

But the biggest problem with these missions is the control tower validations!
