Passive income losing money

How do I disable passive income? I’ve removed the crew from all the planes, but the income is still there

I’d like to test this. I have/had “crew-on” and they weren’t flying anywhere, no income.
I temporarily turned them “crew-off” to prevent any money loss until verified.

now I got passive income - with 3 planes_crew-on, 3 diff companies

I guess I will cross post this here since I’m not sure what one they will close. Seems to be the same base issue.

no to little passive income still, only worked for two days one day was very little, only one “normal” payout all other days nothing, I had over 4-6 flight hours each of these days. This is over all my companies in this photo I have 19 aircraft across, tours, rescue, passenger, fire, cargo, VIP, medevac, crops

After several Days where I had some descent Flight Time and I received No Passive Income at all, I finally got some Money.

Feels Like this was from all the other Days combined

pretty sure that’s normal for a single day for 22 aircraft, the crew will of used and dmg the aircraft parts you must pay to repair all this it “should” balance out but most have been losing money in that regard as well.

Oh very nice, a plane for 99mil generates 119450 Cr. with 09h16min and a C172 166810 Cr. It’s definitly worth to buy a 737 MAX

I have quit career mode for now and switched to 3rd party software.

I think they one 737 that made only 160k was the one i mostly flew. The other one did around 4.5 Million with 1% of Tear.

ok, so round about 486k/h passive income for a 737 max costing 99mil.
a small ga for 400k will give you around 18k per hour, but you could buy 247 small ga for one 737. And the small aircraft will pay you 4,5 mil per hour.
you would have get 41mil instead of 4,5mil…not taking tear into account

Yes, WE should make a Calculation what’s best to own.
Although I don’t want to Repair 247 Planes in the UI :joy:

I will collect some of the Payouts and maybe buy a few different small Planes to See what’s best Here.

Man, once you start a career you can’t quit and do other things in the sim without being charged credits. I want to take some time away from career to do some challenges and activities, but I lose money if I do. We need the option to put our planes in a hanger that stops the clock when we’re not flying. Credits are valuable and if at some point MS decides sell credits in the Market Place, well that won’t be a good look. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Since I haven’t been able to find good info on Passive Income about profitability, I will post here my findings. Few things to keep in mind:

  • Flight hours don’t seem to follow any logic. The way FS2024 counts them is a mystery and probably totally bugged.
  • Pay per flight hours seems to be bugged too. Sometimes it gives me double the hours but half the pay. These calculations are based on this morning’s data, since they seem to be slightly more in line with reality.
  • These are average earnings of my 22 planes, with the data of the planes I flew yesterday removed, because the earnings were less on them, even though it shows the same flight hours. Another bug.
  • These numbers are only an indication of what could be expected in the current version, which is full of bugs.
  • I made this table and calculations with the help of Copilot, so there could be some hallucinations in the numbers, but it looks nice.

Based on my findings, the cheaper the plane/helicopter the faster you will break even. So instead of getting one Pilatus PC-12, it’s better to get 10 x Cessna 172 if Passive Income is what you care about.

I wish I had passive income. Despite having 9 planes, flying for 4-6 hours a day, all crews are on my last passive income popup was 6 days ago…

Have you checked the maintenance condition of each of your planes? I’m not sure, but I have a feeling the crew will stop flying once the maintenance period is up.

Also, in the fleet page the next maintenance time is incorrect, at least for me. It keeps showing the same number of hours all the time for all of my planes. The only way to check is going through each plane one by one. Yet another bug.

Oh, and the maintenance period is another mystery calculation too. Add it to the bug list.

Yeah, I even have new planes, and most of them are well maintained

Just to demonstrate how random the flight times and earnings for passive income are, here are screenshots from yesterday and today:

Saw in another thread you need to be logged out of the sim at 00:00 UTC when the calculation happens in order to see the pop up. 00:00 UTC is 6:00 PM my local time, so i make sure i’m out of the game from 5:55 pm to 6: 05 pm daily. i set alarms on my phone. you might try it, and see if you get the pay out.

This is just so, so completely unacceptable that this is a thing we have to do for it to even have a chance of working

I’ve taken to setting an alarm and logging out for about a 30 minute window around 0000 UTC and have been getting passive income daily as long as I fly a few missions.

I can confirm that this is the way. I didn’t have passive income for a couple days but then when I logged out before midnight utc it actually calculated my passive since the last calculation (a few days before) so I got like 23:45 flight time on some planes… So at least if you don’t log out nothing seems to be lost anyway…
