You said that MSFS is NOT different than other sims - I give plain facts to dispute your comment.
No need for an argument, just show my facts to be false, otherwise you have to agree with the facts I presented. I don’t mind being wrong, I love to learn.
When you say “it is up to me”, why did you say to Atcdude, that they must be new to sims? Is it not up to him to decide this same kind of thing? They may have more experience in flight sims, aviation, and software development than you and me, or do you know them?
Patch #2 is being criticized by so many people that you don’t personally know. My post called you out on this, as a point of further discussion. The simple dismissing of people is something I will respond to as needed to make sure the facts are correct and opinions about MSFS are heard and examined. I’m trying to contribute to the success of MSFS.
But just like many other cases and like in this case, my truthful facts are said to be speculation, or my opinion. And scores of justified comments/complaints are called hate, when its actually love for flight simulation.
My guess is, it will not be long before complaints about MSFS are called “racist”. Watch for it.
I don’t think its wise/good to question the ability of Asobo.
Firstly, Asobo has partners from several sources that share in the development of MSFS (i.e. Blackshark and others).
Secondly, the issues, in my view, stem from a business model, not the abilities of the development team. There are many wonderful things about MSFS proving the development team has the abilities.
Ok, I understand all of these probs right now, but Microsoft when launch this game should’ve put early access because it is. They missed that and now is totally understandable that many people are upset. I still believe they release the game early for us, because the game is so incredible and due also we are at home and the game still growing. Remember the game was just released like a month ago still many things to do. At list for me if they still fixing stuff is good and they will, we need to patient, the game looks like Beta yet, but they will fix what needs to be fixed.
at least it should be possible to revert to previous patch. they managed to break the 747. i can’t for the life of me load IFR flightplans anymore (within the worldmap or loaded from simbrief). and so far i haven’t been able to set up one manually within the cockpit without the game freezing. its a frigging mess.
This neither of marketin knows why you know how much I earned asobo and Microsoft in the presale, do not be ignorant talking stupid things that we are fighting for a few dollars because since there are little what you have to do is make the refund you to all what They bought it and ready finished item
Here we all have rights to claim who the consumer is in the end with whom they earn the money, it is with the users regardless of whether it is a video game or not that does not matter, I imagine that if you buy something in the supermarket, you pay for what you ask oh maybe they give it to you or give you something else is the same it is a product like any other costs money and nothing is free
ASOBO named their product flight SIMULATOR so they should thnik about that and make decent flight quality planes, decent, not perfect… BOEINGS are…i have no name for that…
Default A320 is like from XBOX, basic function like putting VOR freq to MCDU doesnt work!
Likewise, it is better to put the batteries, and another defending asobo hahaha but please a company of the magnitude of microsoft if it is associated with asobo for something it is cheaper labor, they have to do is fix those Mistakes as best they can and stop making excuses and regrets and what is done is done, what you have to do is move on and improve, not cry, that if I had enough time to launch something more decent
Your lack of empathy for others is disturbing. There is no argument here or “case being made”. If you’re looking for a fight you won’t find one here my man.
I think many people were expecting something ready to use, and many people got disappointed about it and now most of the people are complaing or argueing or just expressing them selfs, but this is to soon for complains, I mention this as my opinion only, and believe me I want the success of this game to like other guys here want, is to soon for complains, the maximum we can do now is help detecting issues, put things on the table, just that, they need our help.
They are under pressure believe me, they need money and not everybody bought the game yet. So we just need to understand both sides here, they also want future earnings from this.
Help now is what they need, not bad comments or things that doesnt have much sense (this doesnt lays to everybody, but for the ones that doens’t have good sense).
They will release more patchs for us and fix old bugs and other stuff, we just need to be patient, they give the community the oportunity to play a game in Beta, believe never seen a Beta launch with 2 week and they did it for us, It what I think, even if the product wasn’t finished yet, they launch it anyway, because they knew that we were excited to play it and because we are stuck and our homes.
If you follow the news, they promissed 10 years, so… it’s a lot to come my friends.
GA - no display panels working, AI not handling ATC. Pushback not working.
On the plus side I ramped up my settings to Ultra, render scaling up, and did a lovely bit of sight seeing in the ALps for half and hour at a steady 26-28 FPS before I crashed into the side of a mountain like a sack of pig ****. I wasnt flying great, but it didnt help that the engine cut out.
Edit: restarting the sim did result in return of avionics etc panels. But for how long will this miracle last?
I don’t understand why people keep spouting the 10 year thing. That means they pledged to provide support for 10 years. It does NOT mean they’re supposed to take 10 years to make the sim usable and get the bugs fixed. I don’t think 90% of the people who bought the sim would have paid money if they thought or knew it was going to take 10 years before it was usable.
This simulator is bringing out the bad and ugly out of everything we dreaded from previous sims. The updates are clearly not QA tested at a AAA title. Let’s be honest, who do you feel is being screwed the most right now?
Why is it always that the customer who had paid their hardworking money just so they can get slapped in the face with some broken updates. Now we have to wait another week about some miracle update that is coming out in the near future.Also another update reminding us how hard the team is working on fixing their mistakes and yet to mention anything about the fuel consumption on the Longitude. Man the alpha days showed more progress. The community has spoken volumes through the forums and nothing from Asobo. All we get is a bunch of marketing videos of content that is still not in the sim.
I didn’t say they need 10 years to fix the game, and because we talk about that doesn’t mean that they will not do their job, there is a reason why they are doing the game and pulling some effort to give us the best. I said 10 years because there are a lot to come, so just be patient, this is what I don’t understand from people, only passed a month and until now they didn’t stop, also I help them out providing some bugs and they respond, so they are working on the stuff. 10 is just a number, fact, but since they still working and doing their things I ok with. All these years of improvements and every launch is better them the other, some people need to slow down on complains and help more.
This answer doesn’t have sense to me sry, why even a company like this would do that? And why people would bet on it? Come on…
I’ve seen a number of posts here from people insinuating that Asobo has 10 years to fix things, that’s why I mentioned it. I’m not saying you specifically said that, but others have definitely implied it.
But those answers are different than mine, I support the fact they said they will support the game for 10 years and in the meantime will improve it. If people are saying that, Asobo would fail hard, really hard, I believe Microsoft doesn’t want that fail.
