I’m seeing the same.
Seems to have started in the last few days,
yeah….its a bug that entered in the last update. Everytime i buy a new AC and after 1 flight the flight director fails. Never had this and i have more then 200h on the PC-12
what system and joysticks you are using?
Are you experiencing this issue in missions or free flight or both ?
Currently all glass avionics are failing since SU4 update. It is being reported daily in the different threads.
It needs urgent attention.
I have the same problem, my autopilot doesn’t work because of it, it’s definitely a bug, hopefully they’ll fix it in SU5. These are pretty fundamental issues, I don’t understand why they don’t fix it in an interim update.
It’s only in career mode. During free flight no problems
Topic moved to the correct category since only happens in career. Title & tags updated.
I’ve had to give up until this is fixed. Regularly happening in career mode on Pilatus PC-12.
Experiencing this, too. I’ve been sitting here for over an hour trying to figure out the issue…then found this thread. I agree, this seems to be a bug.
My first day with a PC-12 in Freelance career mode. You’re right, first flight was fine, but now this issue.
Today the Pc-12 began having Flight Director failure I replaced all maintenance parts to new and it did not help.
edit- I bought a new PC-12 got one flight in it then the same issue happened.
I see this has been an issue for over a year new to 2024 so not up to speed when or if issues resolved in a timely manner.
Edit-2 The issue appears to be fixed first 2 flights all is well.
***Edit-3 The same errors are back.
I have done over a dozen missions zero problems.
Set up for back to back missions so maybe 5 minuets in-between the errors are back.
Same problem here since today. I tried switching to Free Flight, and everything works fine there. However, in Career mode it’s broken. I tried doing the maintenance and even assigned a keyboard command for repair and refill. The refill works and everything seems to be done correctly, but the problem still remains.
Have you tried buying another aircraft type? Does the problem also occur with other aircraft? I’m thinking about buying a PC-24 to test it, but I don’t have enough money yet.
getting fed up with flying this AC with this error still there
I have been flying the pc12 in the last weeks for medium cargo transport and never had any issue. Today I bought another one for air ambulance missions and got this for the first time. However, other than the message, the plane seems to be flying as usual, autopilot works etc. Will try again with the transport one and report if it happens there now too.
found a sollution. If you see the FD fail, just shut off engines and restart again. With quick startup this even works in flight if your altitude is above 4000 feet. After engine restart FD fail is disapeared
This issue has been reported here: PC-12 NGX Ground Proximity Warning (GPWS) Stays on PFD Indefinitely
Feel free (or OP @JOEDANCEN ) to create a new report in the Bug Reporting Hub > User Interface & Activities (since happens in career only), using the provided template and filling in all required fields. They are key for the devs/users to replicate/contribute to it.
Can you please add to this bug report I have made as per moderators comments below. Thanks Joe
