PC 12 NGX - Oxygen depletion on missions

HI,

when flying the PC 12 on missions you often get FL300 assigned. According to the information I have found this is also max FL. And in combination with the fact that ATC does not seem to consider STD pressure after Transitionaltitude (it somehow relatates its altitude instruction to the last given local pressure QNH) it might happen that you end up above FL300 when you correctly change to STD after transition altitude. So it is showing FL 300 on the PFD but MS registers you at FL302 for example. Iam writing this because I always got a Oxygen depletion warning resulting in a crash eventually. I also tried the oxygen lever , no effect. But as I flew FL29500 or Fl290 this oxygen depletion warning disappeared. So for MSFS2024 FL300 is a hard limit. I mean it is stupid anyway to get this FL assignment with that plane.

Best regards

Hi @Grogu4333 ,

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

Same issue…

Ok, so I haven’t flown the PC-12 in 24 and I am not doing a career either. I have been flying a lot of pressurized turboprops in 2020 recently, and have been learning more about and getting better at setting the pressurization controls. Therefore I wonder if the cabin pressurization is working in the PC-12, and in 24 in general? Just a thought, hope looking into this helps someone out there, and maybe their career. Good flying!

Same issue… even at 21000. Seems PC12 pressurization is borked. Good thing it’s not an important aircraft in the career mode :man_facepalming:

same, oxygen warning and blackout problem with the pc-12, tried a mission twice now, first time it was over an hour of flight on 30000ft, and then it blacked out and forwarded me to landing. 2nd time it was 20min into a flight on 31000ft ( i even descended to 29000ft) and it blacked out and returned to the start of flight.
Will not be doing these missions untill it’s fixed. shame becaues i like cargo flights and the credits are good

Pressurization functionality is possible in 24. Just completed a flight in the Black Square TBM 850 and pressurization or my failure to set the system accordingly functioned as expected.

I am experiencing the same issue… It happens even when I manually toggle the oxygen on.

Everyone - this is bonkers. The pressurization system does not work in the PC12 - there is zero display on cabin differential, or cabin altitude - all dashed out. That Oxygen lever is just for show, and either Carendo fixes the issue or Asobo fixes the pressurization failure to crash issue. Either way ONE THING IS CLEAR - no Alpha tester flew a long range flight in this airplane. That is just wrong. // Probably the more entertaining thing is over on Steam forums people are posting large replies on how the system works in real-life, like that is any help.

After unlocking the VisionJet today, and completing a flight at FL220 in it, I can confirm that it pressurised just fine. The displays showed the cabin altitude and deltaP.

The issue is the PC-12, not the MSFS simulation of pressure.

I like that they went with third party vendors, but it seems like they didn’t have a minimum requirements list to harmonise the aircraft in career mode….

Also, since it’s not an MSFT/Asobo issue, we may be stuck waiting for Carenado to fix it…. I hope they apply some pressure. It’s a fairly key aircraft.

(It also can’t capture altitudes or glide paths)

Same issue for me as I just found out. One of the only available plane for medium cargo missions and it’s unusable. You can’t tanker extra fuel to make up for lower altitude and if you fly at the assigned flight level your mission is toast. I can’t believe I paid $200 for this junk… Never again!

Signed up for a 2.5 hour cargo mission, out of oxygen crash an hour in. Tried again, requested lower altitude and same failure. Went online to see what i was doing wrong, come to find out the plane is broken lol… there’s goes 2 hours of my life i’m never getting back.

Same problem here, flying a cargo mission with the PC-12 and its giving me the oxygen warning, threatening risk of mission failure. Pilot Oxygen is on.

This is a bug I’m not sure why you moved this, I’m also having the bug…

When creating a bug report it is asked to use the provided template. It contains key fields for the devs to understand the conditions in which is happening an issue, be able to reproduce it with the steps provided and log it into their system. It is also used by other users that want to contribute to it.
Since there is an existing report, there is no need to create one: PC12 Pressurization/Oxygen System Broken

i just encountered this fun little bug, and have done an emergency descent to FL120 which hopefully should be fine without oxygen… we shall see.

Well it might be good to include that link when you move them going forward to avoid confusion. I have not seen this bug report until you have linked it. And I have at least 12 hours of reading bugs on here to find ones I am having too, it’s not like I have not looked there are just that many bugs it seems. So it looks as though it’s just being disregarded as not a bug in your first post.

I moved that topic 3 days ago and the Bug report has been created 21h ago, so it was not possible to link any report at that time.

I’ve seen it confirmed a couple times now that any altitude at or below FL190 should work fine.

Yes this is clearly a bug. Kinda strange this is the checkride to the activity and they put a broken plane in it.
