With MS/Asobo I have found that the most stress-free way to set expectations for anything they announce is: “I will believe it when I see it”
That goes for everything from fixes to new features to release dates. That way, IF/WHEN something good happens, I can be happy. If something slips the announced date, it’s kind of
par for course. If something ships full of bugs, it’s not a shock. They have a way of eventually working things out for most things, so
patience is required for anything that comes from that particular camp. They aren’t PMDG or Milviz - with those two I know that it will be great. Will there be issues? Yup, there always are. But they won’t be the “Oh my god
How is this possible that they didn’t see THIS with any kind of testing”. Unfortunately, MS/Asobo’s track record doesn’t afford such optimism. Here is hoping that the trend improves.

They kind of remind me of Bethesda. I remember when Skyrim shipped back in 2011 one of the official updates actually made dragons fly backwards until some sort of hotfix. People got really upset about that. I wasn’t upset because their previous title shipped with the opening scene glitch of a character’s head rotating 360 degrees up around its axis. If you want a good laugh and have 60 seconds
 (13) Fallout Spinning Head Glitch - YouTube
This is kind of how MSFS works sometimes. Heads don’t spin Linda Blair style, but
I won’t be surprised if a C172 starts flapping wings at some point.

you’re over correcting the rudder i do it too try literally dancing on the pedals left right left right quickly.

also does anyone know if this aircr5aft will work ok on less video memory than they suggest which is 8GB? i only have 6GB

It works just fine for me with 6 gb on the video card. Really great fun to take to the small airstrips of Papua New Guinea.

Bought, flown, approved. :+1: Only the nice girl is very calm. xD

Hello just got my new PC-6 and need help binding the Prop feather position and Mixture cut off position. Using the HC Bravo.
Thx

Watching with interest re the Bravo. Also, anybody working on Streamdeck profiles for the Porter?

I use a logi throttle so not sure if this will all be the same.

For feather I have the button detent at the end of the prop axis bound to " Toggle Propeller Reverse Thrust".
As for mixture, I don’t need anything bound for cut off. I move the axis to the bottom of its movement and it’s at cut off, in all aircraft.
By default the sim bound it for me to the -100 to 100 axis.
I just tested the other axis setting, that is 0 to 100 and that also worked as expected. Moved the axis to the bottom of its travel on my quad and it went to the cutoff position.

For mixture iuse spad.next. I rescaled the mixture axis, so that 0 is NOT cutoff, then i assigned the detent of the mixture axis to cutoff. Now it acts kinda like the safety latch on the pc6 mixture axis. Feels great

I have heard of spad.next but was hoping not to add more applications just to bind some settings but I’ll look into it thanks. The prop feather position does not work for me under Toggle Propeller Reverse Thrust. Odd how that works for some and not others.

The “toggle prop reverse thrust” works like this, atleast on a Saitek throttle:
You put the prop lever in the reverse detent and then mmove it FORWARD and it will go in the feather position on the PC6. So, the detent is the toggle, but then you have to move it phisically that it goes backward. Only putting the lever in the toggle position alone will NOT move it to feather.

Its a bit weird, but i have not found another way for now.

As with Spad.Next, it is a very helpful tool, especially if you have Saitek panels, Streamdecks or any other device. it lets you program things that are just not possible with the default MSFS keybinds.
Especially more complex planes use SimVars, LVARS etc. for certain actions and not the default keybinds. With spad.next you can do that. Also it lest you create different profiles for different aircraft and it will switch the profile automatically. That saves alot of work if you have very specific control setups for different planes. It might be worth it.

Ok I got the prop feather figured out thanks for your reply. It is weird in that you need to use the detent as a trigger first and then moving the prop lever forward to access the feather range!

On another note, trying to figure out this Beta mode and need some help. I have watched Youtube videos on it but can’t seem to get it right
any ideas/tips you can share ?

I struggle with the beta mode. Sometimes it works fine and other times I overspeed. I overspeed more often than not.

Sorry if this has already been talked about but I couldn’t find any references to this. I installed the G1000 NXi (by Working Title) specifically to use in the default planes, but notice that the screens are now appearing in the PC-6 as well. The Bendix AP is not at all happy (height locked at 99,999ft and NAV not seeming to work
).

Is there any way of preventing the NXi mod from affecting the PC-6?

Only way is uninstalling it. The issues you have are related to the NXi.

I feared that might be the case. The other way of course is to uninstall the Pilatus. But that’s just NOT going to happen! Thanks for the swift reply.

I moved the NXi mod from OneStore to Community, so I can use my Addons Manager to turn it on/off depending on what I’m flying. It works fine in Community, you just have to move it back and forth when it gets updated so that the sim will update it properly.

More of a hassle than we should have to deal with, but it does work.

It’s a hassle because it’s still in alpha. Patience. WT is working on it.
