Aermaechi MB 339 at St Barth
Based on what I’ve read and/or seen online, tubeliner pilots have the same issues IRL.
They have all kinds of clearances for RWY “x” and the tower switches them to RWY “y” five miles out and they have to do a whole juggling match, playing a fandango on the inflight computer to convince the aircraft to fly 2000’ to the left, seconds away from touchdown. (Can you say “Go Around!”?)
It’s not fun, and I have been given to understand that there have been some unkind words exchanged over this in the past - to the point where one pilot was rumored to have filed an official “incident report” to the FAA!

I tried to get to the bottom of it in the 787 topic and to my greatest surprise you can’t just give a different ILS frequency and follow it, anything and everything has to be through the CDU/FMS (not sure which is the Boeing jargon). And this is not something that the MSFS version of the 787 is unable, the IRL version is the same. ![]()
Nice job! Now do this on RWY10 ![]()
Well, yesterday:
Significantly enhanced / improved a warbird repaint I noticed on the .to that I liked but could use with a lot more detailing and accuracy adjustments. Luckily could leverage a layered paintkit with those finer details off the original aircraft. (Won’t be uploading as 95% of the livery is created by someone else who got very angry and blocked me when I pointed out some errors/issues).
Then, took that aircraft and repaint for a 30 minute spin across $100 worth of new scenery for a part of the world that I haven’t explored yet, and is a region lets me fly during real-time daylight when it’s evening/dark in my part of the world. The weather was exciting too, especially in a non-IFR capable aircraft. (I don’t believe in deviating from real time and real weather). Paired with live FSLTL traffic and it was quite pleasant.
New aircraft, new (and enhanced) livery for the region, new region for me, new airports, and exciting weather makes for a nice night.
This is very dificult , about 6-8 times i remember. Wind head(littlel front-left= 30 Knots).
Fuel aprox 18% , try to keep the plane in a good balence use the speedbrake and kit to pass the de final descent.
Without 30 knots front wind i think is more dificult or imposibble.

Landing from the sea is pretty much doable, this is the real challenge.
Well, last night, I wanted to fly from Colundra YCDR to Southport YSPT because the in game flight planner showed clouds in that area and lately thats how Ive been finding clouds over New Zealand so I went there and found no clouds and no wind – weather server down apparently.
So I selected a preset and flew around but it wasn’t the same.
I wish MS/Asobo cared as much about the sky as they do about ground scenery.
. . . and the airport’s ATIS responded with:

Just finished a few short hops over the Irish Sea in the PMDG 737-800 Ryanair livery.

Very enjoyable as it’s such a short flight, you’re looking at TOD around 15 minutes after takeoff, great if you’re out in the mood for a longer flight.
@MATSC133 Do you have a visual filter on your sim, or post process your screenshots? Your images always seem to have more saturation and deeper colours.
I am using Nvidia Game Filter for my sim and I do like it much more than the default graphics.
Good morning Tuffbull7923. Co-Pilot in the Forum. Retired so on most days in the afternoon. Live in Alaska. Some Bush flying.
I fly the a320 Airbus, Honda Jet, Cirrus Vision Jet, F-18 Hornet and the Eurofighter Typhoon!
Add me if you like. Can assist.

We live in quite the different time zone, but why not ![]()
I did use Nvidia filters for a long time but the impact on my FPS was quite big.
Now I use reshade and the fps impact is maybe 1-3 fps.
To stay on topic, did a full approach to Copenhagen after departing from Gotenburg. (Using reshade)

MSFS never ceases to amaze. Not always for the right reasons.
No I didn’t Photoshop that. I didn’t even fly it. My imagination isn’t good enough to even come up with a plausible explanation of how it could occur.
I’ve seen loads of images with this defect, but I have never seen it in person.
Yes very true! For some reason not able to add you to my friends list.
