"Pink dots" not appearing anymore on ILS?

Hey Michael,

Nope. The frequency isn’t there. It should be in the second box.

I have no idea why that is empty. It seems you did everything right.

I don’t have the stock Airbus anymore, to try this out, but you can solve this by typing in the frequency manually.

Since I started playing I have never entered the frequencies manually (I know I should but I just like playing for fun..) and never had a problem! So why now do I have to input manually? Also got no clue how… So is this definitely the reason? … uhm…

AFAIK this lack of automatic freq selection is new since SU IV, most likely because previously it wasn’t always correct.

I know. I have the same problem with the FBW airbus.

There might be another reason, but I have no idea what.

To enter the ILS frequency you have to find it (I use Little Nav Map). Then just type on the thing, say e.g. 110.7. You will see at the bottom what you type. Then hit that third button on the left to enter it.

You mean since the last update? This is when this issue started for me indeed. So from now on I always have to input the frequency manually? …

Yes. AFAIK it happened frequently that the freq of the opposite ILS was auto-tuned.
At least you don’t need to set the CRS manually

I will try but I am not in the mood to search and input everytime..it was easier before, wonder why they changed! …

Well, there is another way. But it’s equally annoying.

You can go through the arrival in the flight plan, and then select ILS 28 again. It should fill in the frequency then. But I have had occasions where the frequency was wrong. So I now like to make sure the more difficult way.

Is this Little Nav a program to download? Where can I find it? Then I just have to type “frequency ILS 28 airport name icao..” etc?

It’s a free program. But to set it up properly is kinda annoying.

Maybe someone else has a tip how to find the ILS in the MSFS flightplanner? I’ve seen people claim they know how, but I can’t find it.

Ok hopefully there is another solution…thanks a mil however… … I will see…

Else try the arrival thingy.

Go to F-PLN.
Then click on the airport at the bottom (left button).
Then click ‘Arrival’ (right button)
Select ILS28 (left button)
Insert (right button)

With a bit of luck it then has the correct frequency filled in in RAD NAV.

I just don’t like complicating things. I like changing planes and fly “fast” without too many things to input (I know I should not as it is supposed to be a simulator). Now this will slow me down, don’t even want to imagine how to input this frequency for all the other planes I am using…

I will try this!

FILTERS > NAVIGATION > NAVAIDS.
If you zoom in on the airport you see the LOC symbol and identifier.
Now click on it you get all the details like altitude and frequency.

Where can I find NAVAIDS? Which menu? while I am on the plane or at the world map?

World map.

Ah I see. that would be great, I’ll try it!

Yes, I was annoyed a bit by that change too. It always worked. Then it stopped.

It’s probably one of those bugs that you get for free with the updates
