Plane always turns to left or right when taxing and take off

when I’m taxing my plane always turns to left or right. Can someone please help me to fix that problem?? I have fixed my joystick and my system but it still turns to the left.

you could try, enable take off auto rudder in assistance , piloting , also in general , flight model, make sure you select modern.

I’m stuck with the same problem since the latest version.

It may be related with the excessive flap issue that Asobo disclosed. I guess the rudder is also overly sensitive.

A fix is on the way for the sensitivity issue. I hope it will fix this nasty issue.

BTW, with the MB-339, it’s especially annoying.

I fly with the TCA Airbus stick. Do you use a flightstick too?

and how long will it takes before they fix it?? two month or half year??

Do you have th flight model set to “modern” in tbe options menu?

yes i have flight model modern.

Planes want to 'Weather Vane" into the wind. The nose of the plane always wants to point in the direction on the wind. The newest update made the wind effects more realistic while taxiing, they discussed in the the Developer Q&A ~ 4 weeks ago.

<how long will it take for the fix to come?? i cant wait to long thanks

Here is a video showing my issue

can someone help me!!!

On Friday’s Dev Update they said they are working on a hotfix for the flap issue to come out this week or next week IIRC

What controller are you using? The controls look a bit yerky to me, like with the keyboard or a game pad.
As stated above, planes are supposed to be more sensitive to wind now with the new version. Please try whether you’re having the same issues without wind.
And even without wind I always have to give little side rudder with a prop plane because of the props inertia.

phantom hawk joystick! it wasn’t like this back in august when I had flight yoke and pedals.

So you use the twist axis of the joystick for the rudder? Judging from my experience with the Saitek X56, that’s not that much better than using keys. I can see why you’re having problems. If you have the possibility I recommend getting some pedals again. I personally use the relatively cheap Thrustmaster TFRP, and they’re quite good for the money.

Try reducing the sensitivity of your rudder axis and add in some dead zone.

i tried but it didnt work :frowning:

Seeing the same issue. It’s like the rudder inputs are stacking on top of each other. Holding right for a bit, then the sim treats that amount of rudder as the new normal and adds more rudder on top.

When I’m taking off, I apply right rudder and by the time I rotate, I am applying hard left rudder because of all the stacked right inputs.

Can’t figure it out.

They don’t model torque, p-factor or anything like that. In a real plane you should hold right rudder during the takeoff roll and the climb out, but in this game if you have a tiny crosswind the other direction you have to use left rudder. Without any wind you use some right rudder on takeoff but as soon as you get airborn you have to neutralize the rudder otherwise it pulls to the right. Even old old flight sims modeled this, pretty astounding Asobo didn’t.

Thanks for that information.

I’ve tested in a zero-wind condition too. I hold a tiny bit of right rudder on takeoff and that same input stacks and stacks until it’s a hard veer to the right. Midway through takeoff, well before rotate, I need to apply left rudder, and a lot of it, to get the center line back.

This is what the issue feels like:
I hold or repeat an input. Sim decides it doesn’t want to accept more inputs for a brief time. Then the sim decides it will accept inputs again, and it compounds. So the tiny bit of rudder input being applied is now doubled and set as the new “center”. To counteract this, I need to apply twice as much rudder in the opposite direction. I feel this on takeoff and taxi and landing. In flight I’m not holding rudder as much, so I haven’t noticed it, but the exact same behavior happens with trim.

This wasn’t always happening.

I’m a real pilot, just wanted to say thats actually somewhat realistic to what planes do in real life. Single piston planes do this in real life.

During takeoff , air accelerated behind the prop (known as the slipstream) follows a corkscrew pattern. As it wraps itself around the fuselage of your plane , it hits the left side of your aircraft’s tail, creating a yawing motion, and making the aircraft yaw left.

I’m not sure if the game is trying to simulate this or not.

You need to put slight rudder right to stop that, but adjust your sensitivity of your Yaw as its way to sensitive causing you to lose control, your inputs on the yaw should be very very slight.

In a small plane like a cessna, its very very susceptible to winds, in-fact when we fly them in real life and have to hold, if its a little bit windy, we turn the aircraft into the direction of the wind when we wait, because in some cases the wind can actually push the aircraft sideways! lol.

Anything over 5-6 Knot crosswind wind is noticeable in a C172 in real life.

ok. thanks for info. i will try see if it works.
