I have tried so called solutions but nothing works :face_exhaling:

Often only some userā€™s/a specific group is experiencing issues, if the group is too small it takes a while for them to notice, especially as the most are not using the ticket system, instead complaining here.
Yet if enough people are affected they are able to notice it quickly on the server usage. :blue_heart:

Same issue for meā€¦

No good reinstalling the game. Just reinstall Microsoft and the internet. Thatā€™s sort it!

Iā€™ve just tried to disable all my addons and the sim started fine. Then I re-enabled addons and now it also starts fine. Maybe this was just coincidence and Asobo/MS did something on their servers.

Weird. Itā€™s still the same for me.

Same issue for me. Iā€™ve never had this before today. I hope they get it fixed soon.

ahhh that stinks. Never uninstall when you get this error; itā€™s server related most likely (nothing wrong with your specific setup)

Same hereā€¦ Iā€™d put money on it being something to do with Gaming services update I just received

Did you just received the gameservice update after which it broke or did it fix the issue?

Afterā€¦ MSFS ran fine yesterday. Today, Insert disk. Could be server issue also?

same problem here, yesterday all good, today insert disc !!!

Wonder if it is fixed if they release .20 again but it is a bit silent on the Asobo end

I can confirm that this from @SkylaneT is the solution, after updating Game Services to version 6.69.8002.0, at startup I was also advised to insert the disc.

I disabled (rename) my Community folder, the sim has started successfully. When I left the sim I restored my Community folder (delete the empty one created by the sim).
The sim starts without problems including my add-ons.

This is pure terrorism, do you have any idea what you suggest? Donā€™t do it, the solution is there and itā€™s much simpler.

Scrub thatā€¦ It does work. Had to try starting the sim a few times until it ran with no Community folder.

Iā€™m sorry to hear, I just have to add that before I did, manually, the cleaning of the% TEMP% folder

Thank you! that did the trick for me! even a re-install wouldnā€™t let it run. Iā€™ve also renamed the entire sim folder ( not just the community), reset the gaming services and still nothing.
But THIS did the trick! flushing the TEMP folder and now the installation started, pointed to the sim directory and presto! back online :+1:

Renaming the community folder and repairing the flight sim app in advanced settings is doing nothing for me. Very frustrating!! Cā€™mon Asobo/Microsoft this is beyond a joke at this stage. EVERY DAY thereā€™s a new issue to deal with!! :frowning:

Same issue here, Iā€™ve tried all the proposed solutions in this post without success.

As Iā€™ve uninstalled MSFS and now I canā€™t even reinstall it as Iā€™m getting the ā€œInsert Discā€¦ā€ message.
