I think itās for preventing the camera from clipping through the model and seeing outside directly.
However, I do think their interior limit is way too conservative and very rough. This causes a lot of problems for me when flying small aircraft with tricky landing angles.
Another side note: I also think itās very stupid that we canāt change the speed of camera translation in the cockpit. It is almost impossible to get to the desired position given the current translation speed.
Oh I seeā¦but that leads me to another question! How does the rival X-Plane 11 manage to do this? In the Zibo 737-800 for example you can get up from the Captains seat and stroll all the way to the rear galley! While in flight! But you cannot clip out of the model, it stops at the fuselage. I hope a future MSFS update will do the same.
Very good point! I find this extremely irritating also. There needs to be a āfine tuningā key combo so we can very slowly nudge the view. Again I come back to XP11 which has these camera translation modes:
Arrow keys = normal speed
CTRL + arrow keys = very slow
SHIFT + arrow keys = very fast
And before people jump all over me and tie me to the stake - Iām a huge fan of both games, both can learn from each other and in this example MSFS would benefit from using the camera system of XP11.
