I have not found a discussion about this in the PMDG or the MS forums. I was flying the BBJ1 (B737) into KJAC under icing conditions and I had windshield heat on, pitots heat on, and engines and wing deice systems all on. Despite this, the pitot tubes froze over (freezing airspeed indications,) the windshield frosted over, and externally there was ice on the engine inlets and leading edges of the wings.
It would seem as if the PMDG systems are not telling MSFS that the Pitot, Windshield, and surface systems are on.
I was wondering if anyone else experienced this. Maybe these systems being inoperative are hidden in one of the release notes someplace or buried in their forums.
For now, I have turned off the icing simulation in MSFS (visual and systems) as the frozen pitot simulation within MSFS is incorrect.
