How we all feel right now haha

Not sure if something changed after SU11 but I am getting worse performance with the 737 compared to the Fenix a320. Fenix is normally the most resource heavy plane on my system. Btw I only own the 700 and it is up to date.
Would be helpful if you described the type of performance loss. Just saying you have poor performance doesn’t help.
I am talking about low fps in the cockpit! happens when I am parked at the gate, during takeoff and landing when the cockpit displays are on! Completely smooth experience in SU10.
OK, I am confused. I have been flying the PMDG 737 on P3D for a long time, just got the MSFS one yesterday. How come I am unable to set the parking brake? Every time I click on it, it moves into position and reverts immediately. Same if I use the binding for the parking brake. What gives? Any ideas?
I get this when using a third party pushback tool? Maybe an incompatibilty with Better Pushback? Havent used the 737 for a few weeks so cant test.
the brake pedals release the parking brake. And to set it use brake pedals plus parking brake.
that from what I know how it is in the real aicraft.
cant comment on p3d, I don’t own it.
As above.
To set the park brake as per the real aircraft you fully apply the toe brakes then pull the park brake lever into the up position. To release you apply pressure to the toe brakes once more, which will release the brake and return the park brake lever to the down position.
I can’t comment on other sims, but the way it’s done in MSFS is as per the real world.
Well since you never mentioned that specifically and said only performance issues, how is anyone supposed to read your mind? Best change for me in gaining FPS was through optimizing my graphics and removing unnecessary windows processes and background tasks as well as registry tweaks!!!
Nice… Thank you! I will try that out.
Nice to see you back on the wagon Jeremy!
Anyone got any ideas when the EFB will be released? or the 900?
No news on that front. I thought that Capt Randazzo might have given us an update on Sunday but no luck. Silence probably means that they are struggling with it. Likely January for the EFB at the earliest.
As late as it’s getting, either NYE drop or sometime next year.
they are taking more time to make this EFB than the actual 737.

ridiculous
As it looks like the take-off performance calculator won’t be a part of the EFB initial release, personally I’m not so excited about the EFB right now. And I will also really think twice before spending money on the -900 because I already have 3 other variants to fly + two Airbuses, four variants of CRJ and three variants of BAe 146 (and Avro is coming). That keeps me pretty busy. Give me the mighty 777, please.
I just launched the PMDG Operations Center this afternoon and noticed a number of new/updated liveries. That USUALLY happens a day or two before an aircraft update. Perhaps the long-awaited -900 is nigh, along with the usual bug fix releases to the existing -600, -700 and -800 models.
My understanding is that they are coding the EFB in a programming language that they don’t normally use. So they possibly are on a learning curve. Anyway, as my father always said: “it is what it is”. ![]()
That’s disappointing. The only core feature I would want an EFB for would be takeoff and landing performance calculation. Thankfully TOPER can handle takeoff and landing is more or less covered by simply inputting your planned landing rate. Navigraph covers charts and airport info. So, all in all, seems like IMO there’s less need for an EFB than there was before.
Thanks man! Yup. Back in MSFS pretty solid - have been flying a lot over the last week. Got myself the Fenix bus, the PMDG 737-800, and C310R! Plus the awesome iniBuilds A310 has been taking up my time. I HAVE completely forgotten how to fly the MD-82 though…
Since I only had a short time with it before my extended break this spring, summer, and fall. But I will get back to it…
PMDG 737-800 is amazing, as always. Contemplating whether l want the -600 and -700.
