Grab it! Having said that I hope you are not disappointed.
Recently, with the PMDG 737 I have tried to use purchased airports as the departure and Asobo’s airports as the arrival and it seems to have worked out; so far!
Then again all our setups are different, but I would really enjoy finding out why there is a CTD in the first place and I would really enjoy traveling from and arriving at purchased airports.
Like they say "“Every takeoff is optional. Every landing is mandatory.”
I don’t have a Windows tablet, by the way thanks but the application is totally unuseful without a synchronization with the airplane. I don’t want to start the audio during taxi and stop it when ready to takeoff, I will seem a totally idiot
1/ Flaps postion not displayed on PFD or MFD of any EFIS
2/ Spoilers getting stuck up
3/ Baro twist knob gets stuck and rolls down out of control unless clicking Y
4/ Odd load stations. Weight for FMC programming need to be calculated in lbs using calculator if sim is in kg.
5/ Throttles had to be remapped. Default A and B were only moving 1 engine
6/ All weights and fuel flows/quantities displayed in lbs and no option to change to kg
7/ VREF not on speed tape when selected for approach
8/ NAV data out of date and current SID/STARS waypoints missing leading to a different routing to the ATC expects.
9/ Inability to load-in MSFS flight plan to FMC
9 can be lived with if the FMC nav data is upto date with sim nav data
Sounds are fantastic though, especially if you have subwoofer with bass when power rolls back at top of descent. Engine whine during taxi also sounds very realistic. Cabin window views very nice also.
Still a patch needs to be forthcoming this week to fix these ridiculous errors that should’ve been identified during testing - in particular the spoilers getting stuck up🥴. How did testing overlook that?
Also needing the liveries especially Ryanair. I think it reasonable to expect that airports and other stuff can wait for important big-ticket stuff like this to take priority on Thursday. Coming up on 2 months this has been broken.
Some people said need to click service hydraulics and aircraft but failures are off anyway. Will take a look next time. Still flaps indicator should be displayed. Got an electrical hydraulics overheat too.
10 liveries for £4.19, while PC owners get 10 times that for free. Anyone else feel like they’re being fleeced? We’ve gone from trying to get them into the MP for free, to being charged “the bare minimum permitted”, to now having to pay, Captain Sim-style, for a series of packs containing just a handful of liveries each. Sorry, but no one can convince me that it wasn’t possible to bundle them all together for a one-off fee of £4.99…
I’m pretty disappointed in PMDG. I’ll have to buy at least one pack now but that won’t stop me feeling misled and somewhat cheated. Had they told us on day one that the entire package would cost Xbox users the best part of £100, I may not have chosen to purchase.
