Sorry if this has been posted before, but how do i get pmdg737 from extending full flaps after returning to the game after hitting escape to change a setting or control? Very annoying.

Hi Gary - Have you check through your MSFS keyboard bindings? Maybe the key mapped to “Resume” is also mapped to extending the flaps.
In my case, I mapped my “]” key to UNPAUSE. You may have your own custom mapping that conflicts with the PMDG “extend flap” key.
In keeping with this thought, see what keys are assigned to extending the flaps. In traditiuonal FSX/P3D it was the F8 (full flaps) and F7 (extend flaps) keys.
Thank you for your speedy response! I poked around and still cant figure it out. The only “button” i push is “ESCAPE” and the flaps deploy. I colnd not find the ESCAPE button binded with anything other than pause. I even took your advise and changed the pause binding to another key, and the flaps still deploy upon returning.
I will keep looking around the control options. Again appreciate the help!

Make sure all assists are disabled. Do you maybe have a lever/switch on your hotas for flaps? It might be pressed.

It’s definitely an issue with your settings/peripherals. Try unplugging all peripherals and only use the mouse. If it doesn’t happen, then you know the issue is one of the peripherals you unplugged. If it does happen, then it’s probably a keybinding or setting.
thanks guys. Still puttering around. PMDG flaps still come out, and in the FENIX my spoilers deploy… will keep trying. Appreciate the help!!

Do you have your flaps/spoilers assigned to an axis? I’ve definitely had a problem with MSFS changing my axis values after pausing and resuming (i.e., the mixture suddenly being all the way off or the spoilers deployed).

You are a gentleman and a scholar. I had under secondary flight controls Spoiler axis and flaps axis configured to Joystick R Axis Z and Joystick L Axis Z… (I use the Thrustmaster Airbus TCA joystick and throttle pair).
Deleting out this binding from my profile fixed the flaps fully deploying on the PMDG and the spoilers from raising in the FENIX Airbus after returning to the game from the Options menus.
