PMDG Boeing 777 for Xbox

Binding one of the buttons on the throttle handle to ‘Hold reverse thrust’ works for me on PC and I can then use the full forward travel of the throttle as the reverser axis. Does this not work on Xbox?

Yes it does .

That would be the case, yes.

Hi!

I am making a flight LFPG - SBGL.
I use default 77W on SimBrief and i add 300 Passengers.
SB tells me that my ZFW is 198.9 T.
However, on the FMC I have around 185 passengers…

Is it normal?

Thank you!

It does work, but it’s still a workaround.

Has anyone seen / heard anything about a fix to the navdata update issue? Losing hope this will ever get fixed for the 777 and 737.

Well I have just given the Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke and Throttle a first go on the PMDG 77W and am getting bad stability issues. Black screens then CTD. Has anyone else tried it?

Xbox series X

Hello, yes I have the TM Boeing TCA Yoke and Quadrant installed on Xbox Series X; and no I have not experienced BS or CTD due to that hardware. YMMV but may be something else running on your box? Just a thought. It should work once you get it sorted out.

It’s going through a USB hub which could be an issue maybe…? - keyboard also plugged in.

Thanks I will try again tomorrow.

Hmmm, also have a keyboard, mouse, and a few other hardware items going through a USB hub, albeit a powered one. No issues with the PMDG Boeings (or any others really). If it continues, try with some default airports/scenery to see if the BS/CTD goes away.

The latest builds have this fixed, and we hope to make those available soon.

@awemeter are you the creator of the SimBrief PMDG (MSFS) 777-300ER Airframe? If so, it appears PMDG is using different values for their calculations - the “default” profile values?

Do the values in your Airframe pertain to a certain configuration or livery? Just trying to understand which Airframe to use. Thanks for any info!

I have designed my airframe to align with the values used by PMDG in their aircraft, regardless of the livery. If you use the quick ZFW entry method instead of manually inputting passenger and cargo weights, you may find discrepancies between the numbers shown in the SimBrief OFP and those in the simulator. When you enter the ZFW, the aircraft cannot distinguish between the weight of passengers and cargo.

I determine the passenger weights used by PMDG in their aircraft. I utilize a tool called SimVar Watcher, provided by the MSFS SDK. By recording the total weight of the aircraft with one passenger onboard and then again with no passengers, I calculate the difference and use that figure to determine the SimBrief passenger weight.

This is problem that has existed since FS9 (or even earlier). P3D did it, too. I don’t think they [LM] ever fixed it.

At high acceleration rates, the flight model goes totally AWOL, and fuel burn is totally non-sensical, among lots of other issues.

The sim is consistent to 4x acceleration, but above that, malfunctions catastrophically.

On Xbox X, I regularly fly the Asobo / Working Title 787-10 and Citation Longitude with time acceleraton / sim rate increase up to 4x, and fuel burn remains consistent.

Keep in mind that is why we have our own more intelligent time accel where the sim will go back to 1x before any maneuver that could cause the flight model problems.

Push back tool update 1.03, i still cannot get the PB tool to work properly on the 777 using planned push has anybody else had any joy?

At this moment, the push-back feature is disabled. We are working on a new module for that.
