PMDG Boeing 777 for Xbox

I bought it right when it came onto the MP so maybe they updated the price. I saw someone else post it was 76.99 Euros which would be more than the $75.99 I paid so I don’t know…

I’m not seeing it. At least on Xbox. And the last number of weeks I haven’t seen the Dev Update webpage go live till evening

If it is a complete package, I’m willing to pay €76!
How many liveries are included?

Hello @twenty4fan9O,

The PMDG 777-300ER is available from the Marketplace now on both PC and Xbox. Here are a few photos I took of my Xbox just now showing this aircraft:

The weekly Development Update Blog is posted at approximately 4pm Pacific Time every Thursday. The blog post lists all the weekly MP releases (among lots of other information), but the MP products themselves go live as soon as the Marketplace team releases them. MP product releases are not tied to the publication of the weekly Development Update blog.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

You may want to restart the sim. It’s definitely there

None on Xbox :frowning:

I see it now I had to do a restart and thank you for clarifying. The update is not tied to the blog posting that is still later in the evening.

Just departed the Boeing delivery center at KPAE Paine field enroute to Denver KDEN (Flightbeam/old version) and what can I say but WOW! Wow, wow…

Have been preparing for this delivery day for weeks, flying heavies, watching tutorial videos, and now I am enjoying the climb to FL 390 with everything working that I can get my hands on. This thing is priceless if you like flying Boeing airliners. Will report back when on the blocks at Denver…

On Xbox X I have loaded in to the PMDG 777-300ER.

2024-08-08-777-FMC-AIRACv2404
The FMC shows AIRAC v2404 (April 2024)

2024-08-08-777-tablet-AIRAC
The first time opening the tablet (PMDG Flight Tablet v 1.7.0b16) where it should show the installed AIRAC information, it just reads “Refreshing…”

I successfully authenticated the Tablet with Navigraph, and with SimBrief, and restarted, but I can’t seem to get it to show either the current version of navdata, or, to update navdata. It gets stuck here.

I know that it is propertly authenticated, because it said “Success” and I can load Charts!!

But it just can’t seem to get Navdata updates… Can anyone else confirm the Navdata AIRAC version on the Tablet, and/or ability to update Navdata?

$75 is just a lot at once. Gotta decide between the better looks and sounds of this (all I care about) or spread my Ms credit to get more but less $ things.

…on the blocks at KDEN. Awesome flight, everything I expected and more! Super smooth in live weather on the Series X with a 16GB rolling cache. No live traffic for this first flight. This is a hands down winner on day one for me. No doubt folks will find things to talk about, but I may never fly the A300-600R ever again LOL! It’s that good, in a Boeing way.

Did you import a flight plan?

I would definitely hold for a while. It will still be there. Airliners are often better on PC, so I like to wait and see how they port over.

Yep… I have the same experience as you, it gets stuck at the same point for me too.

Great plane though :+1:. Smooth as butter at EGNX (3rd party airport).

Yup, from SimBrief. The EFB also showed my Navigraph charts! I prefer to view most of those on my iPad outside the sim, but it is sure nice to have a moving map on one’s choice of enroute chart. Very impressive performance on Series X with all the bells and whistles!

I guess PMDG is aware, there is a thread about navdata updates freezing on the PMDG forum:

Thanks for the heads up. It looks like it’s a problem on both PC and Xbox… I was worried their Navdata solution wasn’t going to work on Xbox :grimacing:

For me, it’s waiting on the basis of cost factor only. Nothing to do with pc vs Xbox since I don’t do system stuff at all. I just like nice visuals and sounds. But I have captain sim 777, just have to decide if I’m content enough with that. As of now yes

IMO, the T7 as modeled by PMDG, at least on Series X, is a true pilot’s airplane; it is way more than eye candy. And yes, it is a lot of nice to look at but at any price point there is NO other heavy airliner that even comes close to it when it comes to flying it. For example, I hand flew the ILS from 2,500’ down, off A/T, with a 15-18kts crosswind off the left wing on my first flight in it and it was rock solid. This is a model built for those who like to fly, once all the systems are set and views are appreciated: It is in those last few minutes that it all comes together (or not) for both the sim pilot and the model at hand. This model is nothing short of excellent in the flight department! So some systems, nav whatever, will improve over time. Meanwhile I will fly the hell out if it when not in the 737, 35A, 414AW or any other GA fave taking in the sights. Hope folks have fun flying their new T7s and don’t get too caught up in fussing over what needs fixing!
