Missing APU effects are widely reported after the last update. I assume PMDG is aware, but i haven’t checked their forums.
Not to undermine your interests in this feature, but I’ll add my 2 cents regarding its use.
Our company doesn’t upload Alternates via ACARS, and actually has no SOP that requires the use of this page at all, regardless of the type of operation (ie ETOPS). Many crew effectively ignore this page entirely, whilst some enter the logical alternates for the next few hours, thinking they’re being proactive, without realising its limitations. There are a few reasons for this.
Firstly, we operate with the PIC having sole operational control of the aircraft at all times, rather than shared ops control with a PIC & dispatcher, as many companies do. This means there’s no one on the ground responsible for alternate planning en-route, it’s entirely up to the crew, hence no ACARS uploads.
Secondly, whilst at first the data provided seems really useful and worth having, as mentioned, there are limitations. By default there is no wind value applied to the fuel/times displayed, so they’re always inaccurate (maybe uploaded data includes this, I’m not sure).
Lastly, only one speed & altitude (and associated wind if manually entered) profile is available, so you kinda have to “guess” your diversion reason. Is it a medical div, and you’ll be at max speed, or an engine out at 20K-25K ft at one engine cruise speed, or a depressurisation at 10K-14K ft? The fuel burn and eta for each scenario can be very different.
One possible use would be if you’re in between two alternates, and talking to MedLink on the sat phone regarding the possibility of a medical division. In this scenario, entering in specific data such as the current winds & planned div cruise speed/alt, may give some useful information that you can use when discussing options with external parties. Also, medical diversions never normally happen instantly, so there’s always time to enter this data when it happens.
Other than that though, It’s just one of those features that is available, but minimally used on a day to day basis. Although I’d love to hear if other operators do anything differently.
Anyone know if we still need to do the workaround to update the AIRAC from navigraph in the 777?
PMDG 777-300ER for MSFS with Charts and Navigation Data (navigraph.com) seems to suggest that you should not have any problems getting navigraph data into the b777.

Apologies if this has already been asked (and answered) but is there an option to turn off the cabin? I’ve done a few flights but haven’t noticed such an option.
I have a very high-end PC but simply aren’t much for cabins, so if I can squeeze a few extra fps by disabling it, I’ll be happy.

Anyone noticed FO’s tablet, UFT, EFB, whatever you want to call it doesn’t work after latest update?
They still didn’t fix loud ai aircraft exterior engines inside the cockpit.
Is the missing APU and engine heatblur fixed?
I hope the 737 updates scheduled for next week includes the updated UFT++
You can fix that yourself just as easily until they do. Go into the sound.xml file which is found in community > PMDG 777 > sim objects > airplane > 777 > sound folder. Make this one minor change to the code where you adjust it from 0 to -14. I no longer have this issue after making this adjustment.

I didn’t check for them at cruise. Only on ground, pre taxi. They are not as pronounced as other aircraft I have to say.
I will check tonight when i land (eddm/ksfo), but in cruise there really is no blur

I don’t use AI but I do have FSTL models installed for model matching on VATSIM, and when there are other user aircraft running near mine at the gate, I hear their engines inside the flight deck no matter what type of aircraft I am flying. I think this mainly an MSFS problem, not something that is specific to PMDG.
