Connie would be awesome, if A2A end up bringing theirs over, it’d be the best. The Clipper? I own the Pilot’s recently released study-level Clipper for P3D… I have yet to properly fly it - haven’t really spent the time learning it yet. It’s a pretty difficult one to manage, considering it was a crew of 5 in the cockpit and you are the only one in Pilot’s version… they don’t provide the AI Flight Engineer like PMDG, A2A, etc. so… it might be a whole before I grasp that one.
DC-6 Day 1 Purchase for me!
Wow!
Side note:
Not sure of they are purposely disabling comments or not, but if they post their videos as “made for children” youtube disables commenting on the videos. Wish they would fix that.
Smoke will come with Dx12
Yes. It’s just you.
And we simply cannot tolerate anyone who changes their mind in the face of new information. That would be… smart.
There was no FPS hit for me, and that’s on a fairly moderate system.
Is that the 737 ? And what sim ?
Music to my ears. I was getting worried about the sims direction! I am very on edge about it. Yes I have a life, beautiful partner, job (thankfully), friends, go out all that good stuff (I am thankful for all of it), but Aviation and flight simming is my hobby and passion and I really, really want MSFS to reach its potential and beyond!
Let’s put it this way… on P3D PMDG aircraft performs better than any other payware airliners except for Majestic Dash8/Q400. So in terms of FPS and performance, I am not concerned considering they have been able to optimize their P3D aircraft REALLY well.
Sorry. DC-6 - no discernible FPS or smoothness loss in FS2020
See I don’t get this, how much more complex is a 777 over a 737? Surely they have similar systems. How can they justify such a huge price uplift?
Then again we can hope that the precedent with the crj and the fbw a320 work for free may cause pmdg to adjust their pricing model a bit.
It is not about the complexity of the plane, it is about how many controls and features are operable and modeled in the sim. The 747 is more complex than the CJ4, but I think we can all agree that the Working Title CJ4 is more realistic.
Yeah but vs a 737? I ask this honestly.
Accepting things look and behave differently between planes, when it comes to actual functionaility to program how is a modern 777 or 747 more onerous?
I’d actually think something like an old 747 with all of it’s steam gauges and flight engineers station etc would be more complex.
I hope the 737 is the max variety, but seems they will only migrate the NG here..
They haven’t released the MAX on P3D either… Rumors are that they were working on it but then Boeing ran into the issues and it became a very delicate situation - PMDG’s products are licensed Boeing products, so it was deemed best to not stir the pot and let that one rest until better days. Eventually? Maybe! Certainly hope so - we DO need a proper replacement for that Bredok thing, and no one is positioned better than PMDG to do that. But that’s for future consideration. The NG will do just fine until then! MilViz will eventually do their 737-200 for those that like the old ones.
They clearly stated that it won’t be a simple port from their P3D version. They developed the 737 completely new for MSFS
The WT CJ4 is more realistic compared to what?
Very exciting news. I have PMDG 737, 747 and 777 for P3D and will pay full price for them again and also for the DC-6 when and as they all come to MSFS 2020!
Uhm, and i hope they bring the NG Version and not the MAX
I misread your post that you were comparing a 737 to a 777. I would agree that they should be priced similar if they have the same level of detail and functionality.
