Hello, For some time now, I have noticed that the 737 is backing up by itself when I am on stand, with the parking brakes activated. This happens over a 15th of minutes very slowly. On several flights, I was on stand with the connected jetway. I was absent during the boarding of the passengers and when I returned to the cockpit, I noticed that the jetway was disconnected from the 737 and that the 737 had retreated several metres. I have this problem very often…
I guess you have wind coming from the right and that is what you get from the ground friction model.
I guess there is no solution to this problem?
It’s strange because thinking about my take-off, I took off in front of the wind and so the wind should have pushed the 737 against the ramp and not moved it away.
Do you happen to be using GSX?
and if so, does this happen without using it?
I do not think in-sim winds will do this.
Yes i always use GSX. I’m going to try without Gsx
The wind pushes against the vertical stabilizer and turns the plane around. That has happened in reality too, but of course with much stronger winds and snow/ice on the geound If it moves the WHOLE plane there is something weird going on.
I tested 2 flights without Gsx. 2 conclusions:
- No more problem with thé initial position aircraft
- Sim more smooth
For the moment, i don’t use more Gsx.
If you use GSX, does it happen to other aircraft, like the A320 for example?
