In the air when it first happened I don’t recall. But I just tried it on the ground by setting my leg farther ahead and then loading the approach.
Ok I have loaded your flight plan including the approach. It seems correct.
So how do you reproduce the issue?
The first time I had put the plan in and then took off without the approach. I put the approach in after I flew a little bit.
I reproduced it on the ground by loading the plan without the approach, selecting one of the last legs, then adding the approach to ILS16. When I loaded the approach the active leg went back to FWA → CUDRU.
I can’t reproduce that, at least on the groud. Now, I’m on SU6 beta so I suggest you to wait for SU6 and test it again.
Ok, thanks.
For now I just put the AP in HDG mode when I add or make changes to the flight plan.
If it happens after SU6 ill take a video of the whole process.
Anyway, switching to HDG while changing your FP is a good way to proceed, especially if you change you current leg.
@ScorpionFilm422 Any plans to be able to run the GTN750 in a browser external to the sim, with touch support?
No chance in an external browser because of the technology involved.
The solution is a popout window at the condition Asobo provides the following:
- fix the FPS issue in popout windows
- authorise the touch screen events in the html gauges.
I wonder if the entire flight plan management in MSFS2000 will be fixed and in the case, when.
No matter what GPS instrument you’re going to use (and this GTN is awesome). While flying if you change altitude constrictions, procedures, add waypoints or who knows what more, you’re sure to expect something strange. Active legs randomly choosen, new flight plan communicate to ATC, and so on…
Only the CJ4 seems to work fine, but in that case, Working Title had to rewrite anything.
Important bugs should be fixed in SU6.
Things are going better. Be patient.
Now the GTN is not compatible with WT Mods that provides there own flight plan manager and do not synchronize it to the SIM (ex CJ4 and G1000Nxi). Hope WT will fix that in the future.
Will the GTM750 come to Xbox? For use in the Carenado Arrow for example.
We must wait for Asobo to accept to deliver freeware on the marketplace.
Well you could still offer the lifetime licence version for the set fee - but I assume things like navigraph and METAR may not work correctly with XBox anyway?
THis is not a problem of license or technological issue with the GTN750 code itself.
The only issue is that you can’t access your community folder on XBox (as I know) so it’s not possible to install the GTN750 package.
The idea is to put the package on the marketplace so it can be installed on XBox. Then, users can stay with the free version or get the premium license on PMS50 site.
But, until now, Microsoft doesn’t accept our package to be put on the marketplace. They speak about a future possibility to have a dedicated freeware space on the marketplace. This is in the development roadmap for 2022 item 29:
NEW GTN 750 RELEASE V2.0.17
- SU6 compatibility.
- Leaving OBS mode now switches to directTo (except for a user waypoint).
- The panel version power on is now linked to the main bus voltage instead of the avionics circuit. This prevents the GTN to stay off if there is no avionics bus in the airplane.
- Added auto brightness in the backlight page (value after 12).
- The default value for the U-turn bug workaround is now unset since the bug has been fixed in SU6.
- Removing the workarounds about adding and removing waypoints since the bugs have been fixed in SU6.
- Activating the approach sets a direct To the IAF as in the original instrument.
- Added COM frequency ident and type in radio part.
- Increased max intersection display range.
- The fast find button of the waypoint keyboard selection displays the last map selected waypoint if there is one. This gives an easy way to add a waypoint to the Flight plan by selecting it from the map (premium).
- Added flight plan button in the map page pan mode (doesn’t exist in the real unit, premium).
- Added a charts button in the procedure selection pages.
- The Frequency keyboard’s first digit is now always 1 as in the real unit.
- Added a compass on the map page (premium).
- Autocleaning flight plan at startup.
- Changed flight plan map display.
- Bugfix: the ETED field was displaying bad information in the case of directTO.
- Bugfix: The find recent waypoints page was lowering FPS.

Hapened after SU6 and the latest V2.0.17 installs
I don’t think this is linked to our part of the code. We just provide the screen content here. Do you have the same behavior with the GTN750 in other airplanes (ex grand caravan, JF arrow, …)?
For some time I have been flying the DC-6 with a popout window. After SU6 and latest mod update I have gone back to the Caravan and am unable to get the GTN750 to fit in the bezel. I can resize it to fit but it is a ‘floating window’ so if I change views it follows me. Also when the GTN750 is active the ITT and RPM needles and values don’t move. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have read and re-read the manual several times and can’t find the answer.
For the “Grand Caravan” you have to install this file.
