my top 5 would have to be:
1: flickering textures on airport buildings, runways and markings but also seen it happening on other objects outside airports i.e. when on approach and quite close to the ground.
2: live weather improvements.
3: let us be able to save custom options on the world map filter (honestly don’t understand why this hasn’t been done already).
4: better colour grading or the ability to customise and calibrate brightness and HDR (for me personally when flying the A32NX it is well too bright looking out the cockpit window on a clear day I can hardly make out the flight displays information even with the brightness on them at max).
5: get rid of stutters completely or at least improve them drastically.
- ATC
- My marshaller needs his wand back, did I mention ATC
- Every update deletes my assignments on Bravo throttle
- Ground vehicles around airport, other AI aircraft, umm ATC?
- I love this sim, ATC?
- Improved ATC. Nothing fancy, just basic communications that are consistent and correct throughout the flight. Not talking about ‘phraseology’ here. I’m talking about ATC that consistently works.
- A way to organize the planes I own in the UI (ability to create Favorites, Groups, etc.) I have so many planes it’s getting impossible to scroll through and find anything, especially since there are no standard definitions. It will only get worse as more and more planes are released.
- Improved 3rd party / SDK support and communications. The sim really needs high quality airliners, helicopters, gliders, etc., in other words, variety. The various GA/historical planes are nice, but they are getting too predictable and uninteresting to fly. Only the scenery keeps my interest at this point.
- Seasons, including proper runway, taxiway, and road textures under the various conditions.
- A more flexible / open camera system. What’s there works but seems like it should be much easier to build, activate and adjust custom camera views and made much more accessible. For a sim that focuses so well on the visuals, it seems like cameras should be as open and flexible as possible.
For me:
- Fix the button combos for viewing in the cockpit. It was ok on launch date that you can use the right mouse button for viewing while flying the plane. Now its a combo press of mouse buttons and its quite hard for me as i have Parkinsonism.
- The offline ATC voice, the gibberish sentences they say like x Microsoft equals etc etc. It cant be that hard to debug that problem.
- AI traffic behavior. A little polish goes a long way.
- Add headphone simulation button in the cockpit rather than going to options everytime.
- Removing of that loading circle while flying. It was not there during launch and it is very annoying.
My top five wishes:
- Ability to adjust aircraft chase distance in external view by controller, not only zoom.
- AI Aircraft behavior has to be improved, aircraft lights while rolling on ground should be fixed.
- Historic weather at least one year back.
- Allow more custom views and easy cycling through them.
- Realistic user aircraft ground roll behavior.
- Live traffic. Airports & skies around them are like ghost towns half the time. 3 consecutive days i’ve loaded into, Seattle Int., San Fran Int. & Miami Int., in the real world they’re bursting with life & traffic within the few hours i’m there in the sim yet they’ve barely had anything. Whether it’s a server, coding issue or just the fact the MSFS lacks AI aircraft variety (i suspect all three), it really has to be improved.
- Live traffic & multiplayer issue. Landing gear, animations & effects on other aircraft only visible if you’re very close to them. Tired of seeming planes taxing, taking off & landing with invisible gear or static propellers on multiplayer aircraft.
- Stop 3rd party planes being used as live traffic in places they shouldn’t be. I want the 3rd party aircraft installed so i can see them being used by people in multiplayer, not so the sim can use them as static aircraft in places they shouldn’t be. Small prop GA or military aircraft at jetways, military jets at small GA airfields etc. The only way around it is to uninstall them but then you can’t see multiplayer users in the correct aircraft.
- Screen space (maybe) reflections. The reflections of bridges or coastlines are pretty bad & worse is that the reflections wrap around any aircraft, both in cockpit or externally & the edges of the monitor screen. Super ugly graphical element that stands out all the time.
– (Also a 4.5 - the dragging blur type graphical glitch around objects like airport lampposts & fast aircraft when they pass by (most notably when the objects background is the sky. Only screenshot i have but it’s much worse then this most of the time.)
- UK photogrammetry. London is terrible, even acknowledged by Jorg himself. In it’s quality, colouring, fairly small size covered & it’s terrible LOD system that differs to the 100+ other area’s (minus a couple like Cambridge, Bristol & part of Derby that use the same terrible data source). As mentioned most of UK’s photogrammetry is generally very bad when compared to the rest of MSFS. The aforementioned Cambridge, Bristol & part of Derby for the same reason as London. Nottingham, whilst using far better (the normal) data source, is disappointingly just a tiny square of the big city. Hopefully these will be addressed & brought in line with the rest of MSFS.
Nice feedback!
BTW, rumor has it SU9 beta is showing a lot of traffic and AI now. Have not confirmed myself, but what I’ve heard.
- fix stutters when taxiing.
- fix the lakes and sea being frozen when it’s obviously too warm.
- fix turbulence in clouds so there is some
- fix snow, shows on roads etc but not in fields, should be other way round. Also whenever I get snow it always seems to be a very light flurry. Where’s the blizzards?!!
- fix missing airports. Even in places that have had World updates there are sizable airports missing eg. Zaragoza in Spain.

Everything else I can live with till they get to it, as it’s not too bad now.
One, Just One…
- Build a real simulator
- Fix CTD. The sim crashing should be basic #1 priority. It’s not acceptable that any program frequently crashes for anyone. It’s the only thing that completely ruins the experience, everything else can be lived with. This sim is by far the most unreliable software I ever use and I bought a console partly to avoid all of this hassle and have it just work.
It’s not acceptable that the sim crashes with marketplace content. Addons should not be able to crash the program, if they do there is a bug or design issue with the sim itself.
-
Fix the stutters and pauses, especially on xbox x. All reports are that it runs well on series S and the X is undoubtedly better in every way over the S so there’s no excuse for it to perform worse there. If they are pushing the sim too hard on series X then just dial it back a bit until it works with none or only rare stutters.
-
Fix photogrammetry so it looks equally good everywhere and not just good in some places and a melted mess in others.
-
Improve the ATC to make it moderately realistic.
-
Fix the flight plan navigation issues such as the approach bugs.
If they just fixed the CTD this year I’d take that. This sim is a wonderful product that has so much going for it, and so much fun can be had in many different ways, but having it crash frequently ruins all of that. I can live with clouds that look wrong or implausible snow lines, it’s all cosmetic, I’d like to see the thing just work first.
I know some people don’t get many CTD but many of us do and it’s not our own fault, it’s down to Asobo to fix the product. If this was a thing bought from a shop I would have taken it back under warranty for replacement by now.
- fix taxiway center light guides - eliminate the pole support light fixtures
- program airport ground vehicle traffic to avoid aircraft in midst of taxing
- full functioning VNAV
- improve flightplan tweaking upon arrival / new approach due to weather
- adjustable navaid, marker / minimum call out volume
-
Historic weather, whatever it is called or just any proper substitute of it. We can set sim time to whenever we want but the only realistic weather option always depicts “now”.
-
SEASONS
-
Option to reduce exaggerated HDR effect on cockpits at daytime. The current status is optically correct and eye adaptation is implemented, but the centre of screen, where the eye adaptation takes its reference point, might not always be where a user is looking at.
- Fix weather (using Meteoblue as reference)
- Fix ATC (working on more real and geographic based interactions)
- Fix AI traffic (with real liveries, more detailed aircraft and behavior)
- Improve enviroment look (eg, snow on roads/runways, contrails, smoke…)
- Constantly improve flight dynamics
Thanks for this poll!!
- Improve trim implementation - single notch followed by a short pause then runaway movement if button held (FSX behaviour)
- Improve ATC - even FSX was far more reliable for basic features
- Fix various Bush Trip issues - one of few ‘core’ gameplay elements available but have been very unreliable
- Implement new control mappings - zoom axis, toggle for POI and multiplayer labels
- Fix the C152’s Outside Air Temperature gauge - the scale between °C and °F is wrong and it’s a simple fix. They’ve fixed cockpit typos already but not a functioning instrument…
Thanks for the thread. I look forward to the ‘results’. Will be a refreshing change to the dev update wishlist
Don’t hold your breath. My hope is that the devs see this but my guess is it’s a shot in the dark, unfortunately. I’ve gathered the most common bugs and hopefully we’ll see traction; but I’m just a customer like the rest.

Water physics. For a game that came default with a seaplane, the water physics just suck. I know a small amount of work has happened since release, but honestly it still feels like landing on a normal runway. I’m a big seaplane guy, and this is killing my immersion in the DHC-6. Can’t wait for the DHC-2 to come out, but the water physics are really going to annoy me to death.
-
ATC. It’s just…not good haha. Does a lot of weird stuff, as does the ATIS/AWOS. Example being calling out “Kilo Bravo Delta November automated weather observation” instead of saying “Bend Airport automated weather observation” like a real AWOS. There’s a ton of other examples, just a joke and feels too unrealistic, I don’t even use it right now.

Ground handling physics.

Allow me to put panels on a second screen. It would be extremely helpful to unclutter the cockpit area and just make thing all around much easier to be able to put any panel I open (ATC, views, etc.) on another screen instead of closing and opening them repeatedly.
Crash to desktop
Crash to freeze
Crash to reboot
TBM SU7 introduced geometry flaws
787 update to V 0.51
wasm capability on the box !!!
- low-level and ground stutters
- AI aircraft not following correct routes
- too much light scattter (red) at dawn and dusk.
- improve cockpit clarity
- water rising up terrain in distance
