No idea. Though I am a little puzzled. I don’t want Meigs Field in the sim. I get why it’s an add-on, it’s nostalgic, it’s tragic, etc. I “flew out of there” in the sim a lot in the 80’s and 90’s. But there it was in my scenery when I was touring CU15 the other day. I don’t remember purchasing or enabling Meigs as an add-on in 2024, but maybe I did when it was released in 2020, for nostalgia’s sake, and enabled it on demand. But I doubt it was included as part of CU15 (was it?). Perhaps 2024 automatically enabled everything?
So part of me wonders if that scenery or another is overriding the CU15 update?
I never bought it in 2020. It is there as part of the update CU15. To be fair I have never encountered Meigs before so I do not know whether it was there before the update.
In my pictures above it is there now for sure as I was screenshotting some anomalies in the water and shoreline.
Any reason you don’t want Meigs inparticular?
I believe, when it was added back in for MSFS2020 (I forget which SU, maybe the 40th anniversary release?) it was added back into the base sim. Technically, I don’t think it’s an add-on, it’s in the sim as if it still existed in real life.
I liked the nostalgia aspect as well, but I would prefer if it were not in the base sim and they had the current existing park as standard, and you could enable Meigs separately if you felt like it.

What @BigCow74 said. It hasn’t been there for over 20 years and isn’t part of the real world. I want my scenery to be as close to real-world as possible unless I am doing a nostalgic bit. And in that case, able to activate it and deactivate it on-demand.

You can disable it in the Library, search Meigs and it should come up. I do sometimes see it reactivate without command though, I think during sim updates for example. This is also true of Kai Tek, another historic airport in the base sim.
Yeah, that’s the problem, I hadn’t enabled it that I was aware of, so it was jarringly out of place. Especially so, considering this was on the heels of a massive CU.
I’ll go disable it and check the CU again. But it also makes me wonder what other stuff is stealthily enabled and conflicting.

I never thought to try that. I’ll check it out. Out of curiosity, what does it look like when disabled? Does Northerly Island appear to be current?

I noticed that Fermi Lab has a hard cut off go photogrametry, so Naperville and aurora are not covered or not loading for me, which is disappointing to leave that section out

No, in front of him is the peninsula (Northerly Island) Meigs used to be on before they bulldozed it over 20 years ago.

The question is - does turning Meigs off also affect the area to the southwest of it? McCormack to Rate field?
I don’t know that area very well, so hopefully these shots show what you want to know with Meigs not streamed. I was just trying to get some shots of where my brother-in-law’s beloved INDIANA Bears are going to reside! He’d try to punch me in the nose if he were nearby!

I am guessing no, probably no change. Meigs is probably just treated as its own self contained airport with nothing else around tied to it. I might check that later.
Who, me? Never going to happen. MSFS2032 will have photogrammetry around Arlington Heights showing the new stadium. When that happens, you can buy me a beer.

My brother-in-law’s Bears.
I’ve been living off free deep dish from our bets the last twenty years, (although he got payback on me last year!). So I have to give him grief over whether it’s still going to be “his” team! 
yeah I can confirm, no scenery when your’e south approaching north aurora, and nothing west past st. Charles. much more than before, it’s awesome, I just don’t understand why do weird cutoffs in populous suburban chicago areas but go far into corn fields elsewhere. No downers grove, Naperville, romeoville, etc. An oversight in my opinion
