Edit: the following was merged into this Marketplace feedback post. It’s unfortunate none of the poll questions cover the timeliness of Marketplace updates being made available.
This is mainly just venting some exasperation, but I’m also posting in the forlorn hope that MS / Asobo may see this and expedite the issue.
IndiaFoxtEcho published updates to the excellent Tornado aircraft earlier this year, but for those of us relying on the FS2024 Marketplace we are still stuck on v1.0.5 which was released in September 2024; this means the aircraft has some fairly significant issues in FS2024.
IFE published updates containing fixes for those MSFS 2024 compatibility issues on the following dates:
1.0.6: on March 18
1.0.7: on March 27
1.0.8: on April 14
Unfortunately us FS2024 Marketplace customers are left waiting, currently 42 days after the first of those updates was published! Those updates have been pushed to the FS2020 marketplace but that’s not much help. Thankfully there are lots of other awesome aircraft to fly while we are waiting, but I feel it does a real disservice to all the hard work put in by the devs, for the updates to be processed so slowly.
One of the main reasons for purchasing through the Marketplace is convenience—keeping everything in one place without having to manually download and install updates. However, when updates take far too long to arrive, it undermines the viability of buying from the Marketplace altogether.
Of course, quality control and validation are important, and I assume that’s what is holding things up. However, I think there needs to be a better balance between ensuring reliability and delivering timely updates. And in the specific case of the IFE Tornado it would be really nice to see these new updates made available in the FS2024 Marketplace soon!
Agreed, it’s terrible that it still takes so long for updates to make it to the marketplace. Not good for business for those of us on PC who can shop elsewhere.
Yes, I’m glad I’m on PC so I’ve got some choice in this too. Not sure why I thought it was a good idea to purchase the Tornado on the Marketplace - I’ve learned my lesson… never again! But it sucks for XBOX users who don’t have any choice. Conceptually the Marketplace is a good idea, but it’s really failing to deliver.
Well, it’s gonna be better, inibuild a350 and the pmdg 777-200ER is coming for starters.
Main thing as i see it is that the marketplace we see today isn’t a full release, that we will se after SU2 drops.
They probably got on the queue first and requested to add all their stuff ASAP. It’s essential for these low quality, high quantity developers to be the “only option” before the better stuff arrives
I really hope the various points many of us bring up are being considered, seriously, for revision to the Marketplace.
One element that is coming to light as more of my add-ons have 2024-specific upgrades available, is that now in my library I have two iterations of an add-on – the 2020 version and the 2024 version.
Between that and the 2020 add-ons that are permanently incompatible, it is cluttering up my library, which is making it harder to manage. Being married to a librarian has taught me that this is poor librarianship.
We need a way to hide the various add-ons that are irrelevant and/or just not something we wish to see in the library.
I wish there had been a person on this project who was thinking these sorts of scenarios through.
I’ve wanted this forever. I have several airports for which I own multiple versions, and it’s difficult to remember which ones I like and which ones are garbage. I’d delete the garbage ones if there was any way to do so.
I’m on Xbox. I think this may be possible on PC, but not for us poor cousins.
6 months in and the Marketplace Interface looks like a 10 year old did it. Come on Asobo if you want to be able to make millions then that interface is gonna have to change!
Yes × 1000!
I don’t want them to necessarily make the 2020 version disappear, as maybe the 2020 version of something might be better or have better performance, or maybe the 2024 version causes a CTD right now so you can use the 2020 version until the other one gets fixed.
I the two should be lumped together in such a way that you don’t have to see both when you’re scrolling.
To me, it is absolutely bonkers that this is a thing. A product in MSFS 2024 is a completely separate product from its 2020 counterpart. It’s made with a different SDK with different features, it has a different LOD structure to it, it could look different with different rendering, and it’s going to perform differently in a different sim. The developer could also add (or subtract) features from its previous version.
The technical argument should be sufficient enough reason to have separate ratings, but there are other reasons, too:
A developer with a terrible rating in MSFS 2020 has a brand-new shot to make
something good of their product in 2024 and should not have their 2024 product judged based on its 2020 counterpart. You want to know how good a developer is, overall? Then average out their ratings over their product portfolio and show it to everybody.
Likewise, a developer with a good product in MSFS 2020 that phones it in, creates a mediocre 2024 version, and then charges people for the upgrade ought to get dinged separately in the ratings while their 2020 version stays intact.
Description of the issue:
When you have a Simverse coin balance and go to make a new purchase, if you don’t have enough coin balance for the purchase you only have the option to either pay for the entire purchase with currency, or buy more Simverse coins to get a high enough quantity to make hte purchase.
[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Yes, yes
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
Go to purchase the Azurpoly Jaguar from Marketplace using an account that has a balance of 40 Simverse coins.
Your only options are to either purchase the plane using your credit card, or purchase more Simverse coins in quantities of $10 value to have enough to complete the purchase.
Expected transactions:
You should be able to purchase the plane using the 40 Simverse coins and the price difference ($25), rather than only having options to pay the full $35 price, or buy another $30 worth of Simverse coins (which leave you with $5 unused sitting in Microsoft’s bank account until your next purchase.)
Or allow the purchse of just the remaining number of simverse coins needed.

I agree and you can do this with other Microsoft stores too, when you use Xbox or Microsoft Store giftcards in the Xbox/Microsoft Store you can do this. e.g. the game you want to buy is £25, you have £14.50 credit on your account, you can use the credit and then charge the remaining £10.50 to your credit card.
Can we get rid of the constantly popping up notifications that notifies about new items… i dont want to get them for free as they are already in my community folder as i bought them twice as i recognized that marketplace items wont be updated as soon as they are avialable… is there no other way to delete the notification as activate them and thereafter disable them ?
I bet this is intended. Change FS24 to Fortnite, and Simverse Coins to vBucks, and that’s how the game’s item shop has always worked. The vBuck bundles and item pricing always force you to buy more than you need. Classic F2P manipulation.
If it’s intentional, it’s a cynical way of doing business. Buying Simverse coins doesn’t even get you a discount. (In fact, you can even save a few pennies – literally, only pennies – by buying the coins in smaller quantities.)
