[Polls] Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace Feedback

Hmm.. could be a good sign. maybe they are restructuring to the better?

This is the kind of optimism that lead the lawyer in Jurassic Park to theorize the sound of the t-rex stomping towards them was “the power coming back on” But I do hope you’re right!

Hello @Baracus250,

I just checked the regular SU3 release build and also the SU4 beta build, and in both cases the current Marketplace promotion is correctly displayed as “Top-Rated Aircraft Sale” (see screenshots below). Can you try restarting your sim and seeing if you’re still seeing it displayed incorrectly? If so, I’ll escalate to the Marketplace team so they can determine why it’s not showing up properly for you.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

The Japan update, you have to search for it. If the game gets SU and WU it should install period. It’s streamed and so you should have to worry about it. Searching for these update is not intuitive.

Also, when can we check the store online website vs only in game… There’s too much to look at to browse the whole store. Get us a website attached to this forum site or the main sim site with active current store.

Hello @SprungNickel427,

Even though World Updates and City Updates are streamed in MSFS 2024 (and can be optionally downloaded locally), some players prefer not to enable these updates. For example if someone already has a payware add-on that covers the same area, they may wish to not enable to WU/CU as it might cause compatibility issues with their payware scenery mod. For this reason, World and City Updates are always optional and have to be claimed (for free) from the in-sim Marketplace.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

FWIW, I just checked on SU3 and it says “Top-Rated Aircraft Sale” on my system. Also, the “Top freeware” only shows FREE items on my system.

On SU4 (1.6.15.0) on my PC, also only seeing “Top-Rated Aircraft Sale”. I’m not seeing any “Top-Rated Scenery Sale” on the Marketplace home page. “Top Freeware” is, as mentioned by @Newspawnz, only showing freeware.

Imagine if you were buying static, non-flyable planes, which does make them scenery! :scream:

Maybe that explains the quality of that one aircraft developer’s name - they’re not meant to be flown, they’re just intended as scenery!

Yes, this has corrected itself when I load in now

Are mscenery and dreamscenery related?

I hope the filters I’ve set are saved so that they remain in place the next time I return to the marketplace.

This feature has been introduced in the SU4 beta

I confirmed that were saved when I came out of the MP, and went back, but I didn’t test a restart of the sim.

Yep, they’ve been persistent for me for days now  Multiple sim and PC restarts.

interesting thing that you would prioritize add-ons over your own content, and add-ons override the stock sim either way. So, I still think the “free” claim is hard to find.

Not necessarily - running an addon airport when the stock sim has a handcrafted one can create conflicts and issues for the user - same applies to airports, POIs, and overall terrain/world improvements people may have from third-parties that could conflict with similar/same found in World/City Updates. It makes sense to be an opt-in solution to prevent that kind of conflict without the user’s affirmative action on the matter.

While this was resolved for a bit, back to seeing payware in the Top Freeware view:

Unsure if this is worthy of a bug report or not, though.

I want to buy the Dukes from Blacksquare in the 2024-Marketplace for a long time now. But they are not present. Great planes and now they are advertised for a sale.

But they are not present in the Marketplace, although mentioned in the Sale-List. The 2024-version of the Blacksquare-Dukes has been released weeks ago and ist purchasable in the Justflight Shop. It was submitted to Microsoft for release a couple of weeks ago. Will these aircraft be present in 2024-Marketplace until the end of this sale next Tuesday?

So here we go again, yet another, example where a dev says there are issues with the ingestion process, yet we’ve just been told by Jörg that MS isn’t the problem.

This entire thing is so irritatingly unfair to the hapless consumer who, in good faith, made their purchases from the Marketplace.

I am so sick of this around-and-around.

(This is in no way a negative comment against Just Flight. They have been here a long time and I would expect, if any developer, they would know how to use the Marketplace and be familiar with the ingestion process. This is strictly a comment to point out, yet again, how we consumers are stuck in the middle with zero understanding of what the actual issue is with getting our products out to us in a reasonable timeframe.)
