One thing I noticed after the SU1 update: my 30 GIG Rolling Cashe was set to zero and pointed to the folder. After rebuilding the Rolling Cashe folder everything went smooth in terms of performance and graphics. (still many bugs though)
Launching MSFS24 kills my internet. Any fixes?
Nobody can really tell you that; it depends on what and where you fly. Basically, you have to start with a setting and tweak based on performance. If you have a high end PC, then TLOD of 200 is a reasonable place to start.

i cant even get the mouse to work on the xboxâŠgame sees the mouse in the controller tab settings but there is no cursor in gameâŠ.i tried two different mouse, no luckâŠ.

I have found that the problem of a flight failing to load is unrelated to Update 1. In my experience it is a general MSFS problem that occurs on MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 before update 1. It usually manifests itself when using new content in your community folder, either a new livery, or a new aircraft. I used to get this problem all the time when I created a new livery. I also had this problem reported to me when someone downloaded one of my liveries and tried to load it into a flight, even though the same livery loaded successfully on my PC.
Sometime removing content from your community folder can get around the issue, but it usually returns after all your previous content is added back in. Rebooting sometimes fixed the problem, but usually not.
The permanent solution I found was to run a little utility to clear all the various caches Nvidia and Windows uses. Since using this utility I have never had this problem return, ever. Also every user of my liveries who had the problem were able to load the livery into a flight after running this utility.
I think of it like getting your car serviced to keep it healthy. So I run this periodically to keep MSFS healthy.

Markedly worse graphics performance than base package and even latest Beta. My bird of choice (747-8) was untouched in this update (and it needs more than a âtouchâ). Even though I do not want the external visual flight path (white brackets) and turned it off, it persists. EFB still pretty useless. Back to 2020 until beta for update 2 comes out.

Just a warning - on the referenced website, there is a less optimistic view of using the tweak in FS2024:

Zoom out until the airport icons disappear
Click Start flight.

Iâm running on a high spec system (4090 and 9800x3d). Why is the VR performance still terrible? I shouldnât have to turn settings down to make this playable not after spending $129 on this buggy software.

Flight planning in free flight is now totally broken for me. I create flight plans in directly in EFB and on the online tool at https://planner.flightsimulator.com/ which I then save and load into EFB. There is now no chart showing a route. The flight plan loads into avionics about 50% of the time, and when it does, it is runways and waypoints only, no altitudes. NAV and LNAV buttons do not work in any aircraft I have tried to use due to the bad flight plan. That includes various Airbus, Boeing, Embrauer and Cesna jets. This is something that actually worked part of the time in the initial release but now is fully broken with the update. There are many other things still broken but Iâll limit this post to this one particular problem.

I should add that saved flight plans loaded into EFB do not actually load. I get âLoadingâ and an eternal spinner, but it locks up. I can only create a plan natively in the sim. Also it is necessary to âFile with ATCâ before and after you start the flight because it often does not remember the destination, route and runway. Sometimes it doesnât remember the starting location and dumps you over the ocean.
