It’s the 4th hour, as I unsuccessfully try to launch SU4, 97%, and that’s it… The SU4 beta test doesn’t work either and also stops at 97%. I deleted the community folder, cleaned the cache, shaders, nothing helps. It’s kind of absurd.

I’m the only one with nothing in the \SceneryIndexes folder?

C:\Users\Utente\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes

I was in the SU4 beta and the folder was empty… I left the beta and am now on version 1.6.32.0
and the folder is still empty.

I also noticed that my additional scenarios in the Community, even though they are registered and mounted, are not visible in the sim.

In Dev Mode, I load a project without problems, but it doesn’t display…

I could get some quick feedback from the forum community on these issues above.

Thanks

The model matching is still goofed. Was flying around with this guy for a while. He’s in a Bell 429 but the game model matched him in a Longitude. Goofy seeing that thing fly around like that.

I searched the guys name in the forum but no luck. If HeliSimPilot sees this… you’re ■■■■ good and buttery smooth flying that thing. I need to practice more, I want to be able to handle these birds that well.

I must say, what an update especially compared to the last SU4 beta build. Amazing performance, much more responsive, better lighting. Great job team!

Credit where it’s due

At the current moment Microsoft team has released the aircraft notes. I do not have any version changes from any of those streamed aircraft. Is there still a delay on release?

Best experience so far with 100% view in Godlike VR. With different planes, butter smooth, no (sound) stutters, high settings, lot’s of planes/ ground crew/ vehicles at EHAM. Just wow.

Already had a huge jump after upgrading from i5 13400 to 14600K and from 32GB to 48GB two weeks ago.

Update:
Just did a quick flight above EHRD in the F18. VR is almost as sharp as 2D anbd absolutely no stutters, even with fast head turns. That feeling you can put on your headset and just smile because you are in awe. Not tweaking all the time, just go and fly. This is it! Thank you Asobo for not giving up.

i5 14600K - 4070Super - 48GB DDR4 - dedicated m.2 drive - Quest3 on VD - dedicated Wifi 6e - all latest drivers.

He left me. I got sad. He showed up a couple minutes later matching me.

Man, it’s fun being back on the live build and seeing more players. This guy is an artist flying these helicopters.

Well, this is great, after the update I try to do some free flight and get to the point where the start flight button appears and it just freezes. I tried five time now and the same thing happens.

Reading through the patch notes there are dozens of bug fixes posted 2 or 3 times, a lot of them are actually one after the other

I haven’t flown a lot yet, since the download - perhaps only a couple of hours, but I have noticed a BIG improvement in the VRAM usage.

I have an RTX 3070 8GB GPU.
I was running around 75-90% most of the time before this update.
Now it’s more in the 60-75% range with this SU4, all settings the same as they were in SU3.

I like it!!

The worst update I’ve ever encountered. Disappointing. Performance hasn’t improved at all, it’s gotten worse. I’m getting 4-6 FPS less.

I did like the weather quite well but very disappointed in still not being able to drag out the communications box to another monitor and have the full box showing. The bottom section that shows your available replies does not go out with the box. To me this is a basic function that should have been fixed with SU1. I had a few stutters but not really too bad. ATC has a long way to go to be realistic. I am in it for the simulation and not the game.

These credits should have gone year ago, it is a lost year with fs24 on xbox for me…

Yes SU4 ! very good work !

FS 2040 : Ultra

With rtx 2080, and ryzen 7 5800x and 32 Gb ram…. it’s wonderfull !

Taa : 35-40 fps

Taa and frame gen : 60 fps

Dlss quality : 40-50 fps

And the CPU and GPU don’t move…

Dlss quality and frame gen : 80 - 85 fps !!!

Yeah, I like this update, it has given me the Baron’s back in Carer mode. The Saab 340B has had some fixes, the pages swap really fast, the VIP plane prices have normalised - what’s not to like. All I want today is the ability to bind the Saab’s condition or prop levers, X-plane calls them Prop levers, because it is just a functional tweak that will make this old lady a really good aircraft to fly.

Maybe it’s my English, but I don’t understand this sentence:

”Added Community2024 folder, used to allow sharing of Community packages with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, without making this iteration load 2024 packages.”

Is it just me? What does this mean?
