Have you tried BATC? To me it’s highly realistic with the traffic it comes up with using FSLTL models as the primary source and AIG as secondary.
I have always had random and infrequent hesitations in panning in the cockpit if the outside world is visible as well and I can almost always attribute it to something going on external to the aircraft. Panning around the instruments themselves doesn’t seem to give me issues.
I guess it depends I do a lot of airliner flying. That’s where I experience them even externally especially after it sits for a while
Last word on this instrument stuttering issue. I wish I could find a way to tie into the instrument selection list from the in sim camera menu. I don’t know if you noticed but when selecting an instrument from there, it simply displays it without panning to it. I would much prefer that.
Are we still seeing vapor trails from other planes at altitude, using SayIntentions and FSLTL - I used to see vapor trails, but now none? is that new?
No I still see them I use just flight, BATC and online live traffic
OK thanks.. I’ll keep looking… cheers..
I just did a VR flight using Chase Plane in the Fenix A320 and before it, I mapped VoiceAttack commands to the various views so it was just saying “Pilot” or “MCDU” or “Cabin”, etc. to see the view I wanted. For anyone struggling with instrument and various cabin and external views, this software sure seems to be the answer. The views switch immediately and are far more easily adjusted than trying to do so in the raw sim. I have a 4060ti graphics card on a 57003D processor and I am getting none of the stuttering of people on the high end machines. In 2D the flights are amazingly crisp and smooth. (I do have rare freezes in some areas in VR but it’s clearly something broken with a custom scenery or area not a global issue).
I would so recommend Chase Plane to anyone flying either GA or airliners. They have nailed the new camera system and some of the default views are simply spectacular.
New “SU 5.1” v1.7.28.0 beta out for Xbox PS5 memory issues:
Yes, I’m rejoining the beta. Not that this update may address the stuttering issues but perhaps they’ll also put that issue as a top priority
You’re on Xbox/PS5? I thought you were PC.
Yes, I am PC but the notification states it was released for all versions. Just hoping there will be something in there for PC as well.
Well, I’m a PC user and I just tested it. I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect, but I think it improved things a little. It would be interesting to hear feedback from more PC users.
Ah! I’d missed this since the opening line just mentioned the consoles.
Not reassured by the “may improve stability” message as well as, admittedly small numbers, MSFS Discord Xbox people reporting ongoing, same as before, problems with memory, avionics and CTDs in this new release.
5.1 beta has eliminated 99% of the stutter while panning outside for me. On the ground and in flight. Still just a small hiccup when toggling back in the cockpit from outside. Not complaining. Just saying. Mainthread and Graphics Queues are rock solid with little to no spiking. 9800x3d, 5070ti. 4k 60hz, dlss quality latest driver and dll.
So I tried going back Into the beta for 5.1 on Xbox series x and can confirm that still using the efb panel and atc window will still crash your game and give you a low memory warning as it was on the live build 5.0. Especially importing a flight into the efb and then sending to atc. That will cause a crash almost all the time and low memory. Also don’t notice any difference in performance between the versions either they seem to run the same. Without using both those systems your performance will still be stable.
What a/c? I don’t get crashes using the EFB and ATC window as you described with the Black Square Baron or Bonanza withe SU5 released. Haven’t tried with 5.1 yet.
Usually with airliners for example inibuilds planes including the default and third party. Pmdg planes also don’t like it too. It really honestly just depends how heavy your airport you load into is I have a lot of third party airports
One thing I do know, is that once SU5 is fixed, I will never join another beta. What is the point in wasting time to test and report back, when reports of poor performance and stability are just ignored! We told you during SU5 beta that there were stability and memory issues on Xbox, but you released it anyway. Now we have another beta for a hot fix. What an absolute shambles!
