All polls except for the one related to download/install are deliberately closed for now. We will open these polls for voting once everyone has had a chance to fully experience SU6.
Very disappointing to find all the (logged) bugs hampering the experience being still there. We can’t browse the marketplace with a controller! The UI can’t be scrolled with the right stick! Don’t you want to sell more add-ons?
No night missions in Career, the disabled center dot still locks onto everything… baby steps again, regardless of how many bugs are fixed, it still feels like a thoroughly unpolished product.
So, this is not good at all, 1st fps on PS5 in PSVR2 has droped a lot, even for the default aircraft. 2nd the HOTAS 5 is not working, fails to use both rudder and throttle.
Screen freezes, followed by a full crash—tested across both Fenix and PMDG aircraft. This was a known issue back in the SU6 beta, yet it still made it into the public build. Really frustrating and unprofessional from Microsoft
Have you tried resetting your HOTAS 5 profile to default? Unfortunately, custom profiles from SU5.1 and earlier will no longer work properly in SU6 due to an update to the Thrustmaster SDK as documented in the release notes here:
On PlayStation 5, T.Flight Hotas 4 and T.Flight Hotas 5 (PS4 compatibility mode) default profiles have been adapted to the recently integrated Thrustmaster SDK.
With this change in SDK, other Thrustmaster peripherals are now not read as T.Flight Hotas 4 anymore. However custom input profiles from versions previous to SU6 aren’t compatible.
Very smooth update. Did a test flight with Bo-105 over Rotterdam harbour with excellent performance, nice and smoothly moving ships, moored ships to > 90% aligned correctly. All in all a very nice experience.
Btw.: All my addons remained active and seemingly none did any greater harm to the startup duration.
On what platform are you experiencing this issue with browsing the Marketplace with a controller? I don’t have a PS5 so I couldn’t test on that platform, but I just personally confirmed that browsing the Marketplace with a standard XBOX controller (including scrolling with the right stick) works as expected on both my PC and XBOX Series X.
I’ve flown over 135 flights on SU6 beta using the PDMG 737 Xbox X and not 1 CDT, I take that back I had 1 and that was flying into LFVR’s KBWI, the ground textures never loaded, and it finally crashed. Other than that, 1 time I’ve had good luck with SU6, the terrain is still a lil funky, but I can live with it. I shouldn’t have to, SU4 was amazing. I don’t know what went wrong between then and now.
You may know this, but you can take the cursor and move it over to the right and hold A down and scroll down that way. I use a mouse and keyboard, so I don’t ever use the right stick but mine is the same as yours. It could be a control binding; I’ve not looked into it because like I said I use a mouse.
To confirm, are you on XBOX Series X, based on your other post above? And you’re saying that you are not able to browse the Marketplace with an XBOX controller?
I am on Xbox Series X, only with an Xbox controller connected, so no other peripherals. None of the UI elements are scrollable with the right stick. Not only the marketplace itself, but none of the in-game panels (like nearest airport list, ATC panel, etc.). Everything I highlighted in the bug report still applies.
As additional info, are you using a standard XBOX gamepad or a third-party controller? I tested this in SU6 on my XBOX Series X just a moment ago, and full browsing of the Marketplace and all other UI elements with a controller (including right stick scrolling) all functioned properly.
I’m using a Gamesir G7 SE controller on my Series X, so third-party. It worked without issues up until Sim Update 5. The “right stick scroll” became inoperative after SU5.
