Yes, same here when loading (if it loads :face_with_peeking_eye:) the 737 PMDG on PS5

Thanks for confirming, Scottie and FirstSleed!
I haven’t found a bug report for this yet, so maybe I should file one.

Agree with lack of stability and performance in 7.1 - and based on other comments I’ve read there are many of us feeling the same way.

The newest Beta (1.9.23) is out now with this reversion. Curious how all the 3rd party jets behave with this update.

General Bug Fixes

  • Reverted a change to drag simulation calculations to the pre-SU7 version to ensure backwards compatibility with certain third-party add-on aircraft.

Hi, I can confirm that the issue persists in the current beta branch (version 7.2). I just tested it at Aerosoft’s EDDL; when the jetway connected to the aircraft, it caused the plane to shift slightly from its position—as if it had bumped into it and nudged it.

I’m on X Box X and 7.1 runs OK for me. My guess is that something in your game profile is not working with 7.1 such as the last plane you flew. Deleting your profile from the console and the cloud may be the only way to solve it. someone else might have a better answer but Ive found it helpful to completely start over with this game/sim.

BTW - to anyone/everyone - I’m not sure its supposed to work that way or if its a bug but if you have Ants Drifter (for example), load it up and fly and then shut down the sim and delete the Reserved Space and restart the X Box and the sim and then load into the default C172 - then open the EFB and look at your fuel tanks. It seems to correct itself if you do or change anything but I wonder how many settings remain unchanged/uncorrected if a person does nothing but go for a flight.

Two good points to report on my end at least, and one that still persists for VR. In VR the clouds look really good with this update and after several updates they have finally fixed the black screen when spawning down to the aircraft after starting a flight. It’s nice to see a bird’s eye view again when loading flights in VR.

Unfortunately none of the VR graphics settings save. They all have to be applied again for each flight. It would be nice to see this issue fixed as well.

I have never had any of those issues you describe in VR ?

The only issue I still get, is that the SteamVR interface pops up and I need to activate a knuckle to make that disappear. This can only be circumvented if I load the flight into 2D and activate VR after spawning in.

I thought I would just post my experience with SU7.1 so far. Since SU7.1, the initial splash screen with the muddy plane stays there for around 2 and a half minutes. But today, it’s much quicker at just over a minute, and performance is also much better than when it took longer to progress to the loading screen. I’m convinced that the long load time and poor performance is related to server load.

Hi mbraortns!

As a last resort, I tried completely deleting all my cloud saves, and finally, everything is working perfectly! The only downside is that I had to reconfigure all the controls on my Thrustmaster Airbus, but that’s a small price to pay. The important thing is that I can finally get back to flying! :airplane:

Lateral drift on final approach since SU7

Since SU7, my iniBuilds A320neo V2 suddenly drifts sideways on final approach, even with Autothrottle enabled.

Before SU7, landings were consistently smooth with the same aircraft and TCA Airbus controls.

Tests:

  • Clear Skies: normal landings.

  • Live Weather: unexpected lateral drift.

  • Disabling all assistance/addons and the rudder (Z) axis makes no difference.

This may indicate an issue with Live Weather or low-altitude wind simulation introduced in SU7.

Please investigate. Thank you!

I use Virtual Desktop Streamer and I’ve had really good success with it and I don’t have the issue you’re describing.

Here is what is interesting. After you stated you didn’t have issues with your VR settings being saved, I decided to do a search. Comes to find out, it was a user issue(being me) as opposed to an MSFS 2024 update issue. I made an adjustment to the usercfg.opt file and now all of my settings in VR are saved accordingly. That led me to think and now asking out loud, why hasn’t MS/Asobo adopted the philosophy of some other forums. There is a well known scenery developer that has mods checking their forums and responding wherever appropriately, with possible fixes to issues. Had this response not been posted, I would have thought it was a MSFS issue that was still lingering because I know this was an issue at one time. Adopting this philosophy would be a nice way to alleviate some of the stress/tension that sometimes arises and would give MS/Asobo credit when old issues have been resolved so it doesn’t seem like they’re not listening to their users.

C172 IFD version elevators do not animate externally.

The only issue I’ve seen with the 7.1 release is that my control bindings are not being saved when I fly the Fenix aircraft. I don’t think that’s a Fenix issue.

SU7 came out on October 13th.

Here we are in the last day of October and still you can’t fly helicopters or aircraft properly in Career Mode due to the bugs introduced by SU7.

Every day that passes is one more day I lose confidence in the future of MSFS.

It is crazy to say and see, it is year 2026. Why it feels they dont want to fix the some many bugs and issues in this program is just mind blowing. I am not a developer but at some point someone has to take a curse of action.

Totaly agree, this beta system is an absolute non sense, especially when something fundamental is getting broken, beta enrollment should only be used when new experimental features are added

I was admittedly pretty upset and have since deleted my original post. However are there any planned updates or fixes to the noted issues with SU7 that released in Oct 2026. There appears to be a good number of issues like with the 737 and right engine and even some of the 3rd party plug-ins. We all love our Flightsim 2024 but when an update takes out half of what we commonly play it’s super frustrating.

I’ve seen a significant increase in occasions where the sim just freezes on PS5 with 7.1. And not even on long haul flights. <1 hour flights in some cases. I’ve also seen the ATC window become inaccessible - clicking the icon in toolbar doesn’t open the window - weather, game controls, and toolbar settings can’t be opened either. Is anyone else seeing this?
