[Polls] World Update 19: Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana

Some excellent screens there! As I mentioned SU19 is very good on my Series X and my settings so only compliments from me.

The reason is money an manpower.
With MSFS2024 out they won’t make much revenue selling more copies of MSFS2020, so why should they put money and manpower into a product that won’t make them any more money in return. I guess they will include some MSFS2024 changes that can be adapted without much hassle to MSFS2020, but otherwise they won’t put any more effort into it.

Given the more than acceptable flight simulation experience MSFS 2020 currently is I’m quite content with merely seeing more aircraft being produced by 3rd parties and certainly keen on study levels where possible.

I was checking if Paulo Ricardo’s SBRJ and SBSP are compatible with WU19 and while the airports look great, both of those airports also contain the POIs that conflict with the new content. Does anyone know if it’s possible to temporarily disable the landmarks until Paulo updates them? I saw both of those have 2 .bgl files so I’m guessing one of them would probably be for the city?

Not quite a reply to answer your specific question regarding Paulo Ricardo’s SBRJ & SBSP I can say that ALL Australian default airports are now substantially more detailed as are the surrounding areas. Nice! I will now go to SBRJ & SBSP in my A320neo V2 and let you know what I see in SU19 on MSFS 2020 on my Series X.

Ok so I arrive at SBRJ and the airport detail, gates runways etc are very sharp and detailed and it also includes an adjacent city featuring nice detail and the surrounding water and mountain ranges are excellent detail. Sau Paulo airport is good and the massive city and local area is very nice and no muddy textures or gooey low res buildings that I’d see a few years ago… As a flyer and not a close up sightseeing kind of guy the high rise are certainly different enough and crisp and sharp with nice sun reflections even from only a few hundred feet. Flying above at 1,000ft the city looks spectacular and with a great frame rate and I’m in Inibuilds A320 V2 which has it’s own complexity to test my Series X and everything comes out as I’d expect by SU19. It’s really good.

No problems here the little I checked.
Rio PG looks very good, imho.
Just fix the Costa e Silva bridge N of SBRJ (<- which also looked good)

Still takes 20,000 minutes to spawn into the airport. Why is this still not fixed?!

Except some of them, like Boeing-787-10 were disabled instead of being upgraded (may be only for those of us who received them as transfer from 2020) as a result of this update:) Like some airports (OMDB, for example) as well.

In the free Inibuilds A320neo V2 on MSFS 2020 it takes most of the 20 seconds to load the aircraft and is no different than spawning at a basic airstrip in Outback Australia. Remarkable progress devs! I like it.

What airport is near here?

Is there any chance we coud get the full list of POI’s released as part of this update. There was 40(ish) in the trailer but you say 75 in the blog post

I’m on the bridge right now and it’s all there and no parts under water and it’s really LONG!!! Impressive. No issues on my Series X.

Blame the poor servers! It was working well this morning. This evening it’s taking me forever.

Any word, mods?

I’m on top of Mount Roraima, but the surface model leaves a lot to be desired

I’m impressed with Rio on 2024. 60 FPS locked, not even one stutter, amazing scenery. Loving this WU.

Folks - let’s kindly stay on topic about Brazil, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. Posts asking for other region updates were moved to the appropriate Wishlist

Thanks.
