Did not work. I uninstalled Map Enhancement Mod, deleted the files you recommended (that folder is now empty), reinstalled msfs2024 - did not help. Still getting low bandwidth issues with scenery not loading and map blurring when I zoom in. Sim is totally unplayable and I’ve gone back to 2020.
I don’t have those files, so that’s not my issue obviously. The issue is clearly on their side! I get 700mbps down and checked while loading. I have also been able to ping and returns at 35ms, so I have plenty of bandwidth and no issue on this end.
I’ve been plagued by these drop outs recently. They seem to be short loss on connection then loss of data, then a successful connect.
Host file is standard Windows, even went to the Microsoft website and got the default Win 11 entry and put it in the hosts file to ensure connect.
Oddly it (the drop outs) seems worse when I’m on the ground.
My internet connection never drops as other devices would show it. I’ve also monitored speeds and they don’t drop when the connection to MSFS reports as lost.
Got the same issue there, any update?
Started getting low bandwidth/switch offline errors several weeks ago (have 300mps d/load speed). Resorted to using VPN which solved the problem for a while. But this trick worked for me. No need for VPN anymore-back to normal. Must have been something I installed that messed with my DNS settings. For what its worth…
Did not work for me. Still getting “Low Bandwidth” and “unusually long loading times” messages and scenery not loading. Also can’t exit to desktop - just hangs and have to use task manager to close msfs2024. Using VPN doesn’t help either. Only other suggestion I have gotten is to reinstall Windows 11 but that is a royal PITA so I’m trying to decide whether to do that or just give up on msfs2024 (2020 works fine).
I am in the exact same situation, with no solution.
I went through a time where the drop outs were all the time!
I invested in NordVPN after someone recommended it and it helped massively.
I also disabled my rolling cache and things improved as well.
Just a couple of suggestions from my experience. Maybe see about the rolling cache first if you’ve not paid for a VPN?
I’ve already tried NordVPN, with no effect. How do you disable Rolling cache in FS2024?
Ooft not sure on MSFS2024 I’m only MSFS2020.
I’m holding off moving over to 24 for now so I’m afraid I can’t comment further.
Thank You! I’ll give this a try. At this point, I’m up for trying something new.
I am not using any map mod in MSFS2024, but still got the long loadingtimes and low bandwith warnings, even sometimes it is not possible to start MSFS2024.
Same here, I am not using the Mod, since a few days I am getting the low bandwith message again. It was gone for a while. I would say since the last weekend it returned.
I am not using photogeometrie since it is not possible without getting this message. now it is the same without.
Textures are not loading. No fun to fly anymore. Again. ![]()
I have a similar issue which relates to MSFS 2024 shutting down/lowering my WiFi speed on 5 Ghz. Could be something server related.
Did not work for me.
Tried, no success:
- DNS trick
- VPN trick
- InGame Network reset trick
- WIFI or Ethernet
- With Map enhanced mod, no map enchanced mod
- Host file with notepad
- deleted rollingcache.ccc
I don’t want to give up and still want to use MSFS 2024.
Worth a vote?
Latest try - I tried Total VPN but to no avail. Used SpeedTest and found that the download speed was much lower than my usual hard-wired Ethernet. So, my Ethernet gets download speeds of 4500 Kps, while with the VPN it gets only around 450 Kps..I’ve heard that you shouldn’t put much validity on the SpeedTest numbers, but the bottom line is that the relative VPN download speed was much lower. Used multiple servers, same results. Just adding to the data collected here. Any other game I play or application I use on my PC works fine, though I don’t believe I"m streaming anything else.
As for the game, I see buildings and trees, but no streets or highways whatsoever. Cars driving around on blurry soup. It seems as if the base layer of ground is blurry, but the objects themselves seem OK. At least that’s an improvement.
An then…it works…I don’t know what happened yesterday, but I logged into 2024 and it all worked - short load times, scenery looks normal, no “low bandwidth” or “lost connection” messages. So, at the end of that day, I got no new info to share as to why it know works. I assume it just has to do with their servers, and not with my system.
BTW, I get none of those bandwidth or connection messages with 2020 either…sso go figure!
Try this:
Set your primary DNS to 1.1.1.1
enable Encrypted DNS set to auto
Set secondary DNS to 1.0.0.1
enable encrypted DNS with auto
Enable IPv6 and set DNS manual
2606:4700:4700::1111 (Encrypted)
2606:4700:4700::1001 (Encrypted)
auto template for both
save.
you may get a warning that it cannot save and something is wrong
ignore it
flush DNS: In admin command prompt run “Ipconfig /flushdns” (without quotes)
Load game
I’m getting lost connection notices at times. I always freeze with my movements until it says connection restored which is usually 30 seconds at the most.
Running: INTEL 14 Gen I-9 14900 KF, RTX 4090 24Gb, 64 Gb DDR5 6000 mhz/ storage and WiFi.
