Not perfect but this is what I planed in August. Finished Christmas 2020… Work in progress

Well, is not my entire setup, but just wanted to share that today arrived my TCA Thrutmaster Quadrant and add-ons and it’s pretty cool. It gives another level of simulation.

Very nice..

Thank you. Just added Quest 2 VR with MSFS 2020. As good as it gets!

I imagine you are a vey tall individual to see across all that hardware, can you see the bottom of your left monitor?

Just barely. lol

My setup has changed since this pic was taken. Quite drastically considering that was only a couple of weeks ago. Still have a couple of pieces of the puzzle missing that will be put together in the next week or so.

I really need something from the local Home Depot, but unfortunately this area is on covid lockdown, so all those stores are closed.

Bind any key or button to that particular view, that is what I do, I always know when to turn.

Took a few hours to build a desk for my Bravo that arrived this week. Hokey I know, but so enjoyable.

( The pedals are of course placed in the middle under the yoke. But they would not be visible there  )

Love the CH Fighter Stick, Pro Throttle and Pedals. Have had mine for ages. Just swapped out CH Yoke for Honeycomb Alpha. Don’t know how many times I replaced springs, rubber bands and o-rings to keep it working.
Still use Stick and Throttle for Space games, DCS and Falcon..

Nice setup Rothas2k - a question for you if I may.
I also have Air Manager Beta 4 on a touchscreen with Knobster, but can so far only use Knobster with the “Steam gauges” in Cessna 152/172 etc.
Have you managed to get Knobster to work with “Glass screens” (such as G1000 450/530 etc.)?
If so, could you explain how, as I would dearly love to do the same.
Many thanks in advance, Alasdair (aka Flybasher…)

My current cockpit:

The main challenge for me was building something easy to transfer from cockpit configuration to (workspace-)desk configuration. i combined a

  • “Wheel stand pro” (with custom (few inches longer) steel tube)
  • IKEA kitchen cutting board for my feet to rest on and as a mounting plate for
  • Thrustmaster TPR Pedals
  • the wooden shelf screwed on top of the stand is made from srap parts and provides room for
  • honeycomb yoke and throttle
  • keyboard and mouse on top
  • Stream deck (at the moment used for circumventing the “10 degree heading”-issues)

the whole unit has an integrated USB-Hub - so putting it aside is as easy as unplugging a power brick and a singe USB connection form my pc and pushing it to the side of my desk.

It may look a little weird, but works fine for me

Greeting from Germany,
Dirk

Not a 100% up to date, as I just swapped the CH Products Yoke for a Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, but you get the idea, I hope.

2 Networked PC’s.
Sim PC: 3 top Monitors (no use in FS2020 atm), and center bottom. Runs the simulators.
Nav PC: 2 bottom outer monitors. Provides, Skype for multiplayer communications, Navigation and flightplanning tools, VA connection, and whatever else I might need.
Honeycomb Alpha Yoke (replaced the CH Yoke shown in the pic just a few days ago)
CH Throttle Quadrant (Waiting for Honeycomb Bravo Throttle as replacement)
CH Rudder pedals (What will next Xmas have in store for that??)
2x GoFlight GF-166 radio panels
1x GF-46 panel
Multiple USB I/O cards for all the buttons, knobs and switches.
Old racing wheel modified as Tiller
Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X

I like your style …Glass of wine goes good with MSFS.. I have a drink holder on my sim!

Yeah, I sunk a couple of these into my desktop when I went “VR”
I just knew I was going to knock over a can of Dew while reaching blindly for some control with my headset on…

Asus MX239 1920x1080 (combined resolution 5900x1080 with bezel correction is on the verge of 3070 GPU capability). Not perfect - the front panel is not 100% flat (the silver portruding bezel at the bottom) which makes them hard to be positioned at an angle without a gap. The stands doesn’t allow height adjustment, hence the wodden stands on the picture (they also allow moving the display closer - on top of the yoke housing - for wider field of view and undistroted projection with nVivia Surround and all 3 displays are placed in one flat row raher than angled - this is necessary until in 2021-2022 (?) Asobo wil implement true multimonitor support).
