It’s a great screen, really is especially for the price. Still, I would love to be able to have three large screens - one middle and two side angled screens to really give that cockpit feel. Only problem is the Sim would absolutely crawl running three 4K screens. For now this screen at 5120x1440 is like two 27" 2K screens, 1 million pixels or so shy of a single 4K screen, and it’s doing awesome. Just wish it was 2-3 inches bigger vertically.
Question: does anyone use projector as monitor?
I have a 120" screen that I use with a projector. I only use it rarely, but it is fun.
I too, have a 120" 1080P projector screen, but I built my Sim right in front of it and don’t use it anymore.
This room used to be a home theatre, as seen here, earlier in the build:
Much has changed since this pic.

That’s pretty cool. How does it feel? I would guess at some point it just become too large to focus
Honestly, I never really got the chance to use the big screen projector with the Sim. Although I watched thousands of movies on it over the years. I almost immediately went to 1440P and that ruled out the projector. First it was 2560x1440 on a 31" curved monitor, then I went to 3440x1440 on a 35".
For what it’s worth, I didn’t really intend to spend a bunch on a flat screen, as I already had my HP Reverb G2 on order, and now that it has arrived, I just want MSFS to release the VR version… which should make all this screen real estate irrelevant.

Are those racing pedals directly connected to the pc? I want to use mine to for siming but they are connected to the steering wheel so I can’t use them without the steering wheel…
I’m torn on getting a reverb G2 or getting 2 ultrawides.
I’m building some switch panels, and I feel those would be hard to work into the sim cockpit “flow” if I had my eyes covered the whole time.
Anyone else run vr with physical input other than flight controls? Looking for feedback ![]()
Look for an adapter.
yeah they are connected to the fanatec wheel base i use a program called joystick_gremlin and vjoy to get them to work as rudder peddles,
Nothing super special, I’m in limbo waiting to move (gotta love COVID lockdowns) so I’m making due in a small space. Bravo quadrant is on order so that should be added in a month or two.
Nice, thanks
I know this was posted some time ago, and there was discussion about instrument view options in controls. But, I would really like to know how one can isolate the G3000 displays on separate monitors.
Wow, what a great story, that you followed it through various stations in life and your aviation career!
I still fly with this yoke since 2005 and it still works great. Incredible that this stuff is so robust. I also spent thousands of hours with it and finally got my real life CPL/ATPL frozen. Also so many stories to tell…
And my simpit evolves yet again. The newest addition is the Honeycomb Alpha, which makes GA way more realistic than my x56. This new arrangement allows me to mount my Logitech panels horizontally on top of the Alpha. And on top of my panels, I have my old Android tablet mounted with a currently very janky, but somewhat stable solution. It’s running the Glass Cockpit to Sim app to give me a PFD, and my Stream Deck XL rests on top of the other panel secured in place with adhesive velcro.
On the Alpha, I have my XBox controller attached with velcro. This gives me analog sticks for cockpit camera and drone camera controls, as well as a bunch of extra buttons (Currently mostly ATC commands).
In the coming days, I have a Logitech throttle quadrand and a Next Level flight stand, which will make it more mobile than this solution which is attached to my everyday use desk.
Not a bad setup so far, methinks.
This was built years ago for FS2004. Later dismantled when I moved. I share it for inspiration, to show what creative imagination can do. When msfs matures, and supports this, I may do it again with wrap around monitors instead of the projector. Enjoy the video.
I’m not going to post a picture. Pretty sure you’ve all seen a stick, throttle, keyboard and mouse.
Some seriously fun looking setups for some of you though.
Love the logitech bridge with the Alpha pier… why didn’t I think of that?
Instead, I waited for my Bravo to show up.

Hi loving your setup…can I ask what is your sidestick and your throttle quad at first I thought it was thrustmaster tca but I can see it’s far more realistic .also your landing gear lever is so cool
Cheers
Hello, thank you !
The stick is from A320 project ( Redirecting... ) with this:
https://www.cockpitphd.com/abbellowpro.html . All is on a Logitech joystick ATK3.
The throttle is from throttletek.com
And the Gear lever was simply found on Ebay
