- Post Your Cockpit Pictures Here -

My home flight deck. Upgraded my monitor this summer to a curved 36” and bought a new desk. Upgraded my GPU also. I’m absolutely loving it. Oh yeah, and the requisite Saturn V and Apollo 11 astronauts photos above the monitor. Seeing a theme here with others doing the same thing. I guess I’m not the only one who had to have that Lego kit. That was so much fun to put together! I may disassemble it and do it again it. It was that much fun!

I definitely need to lower mine. Nice pit!

Not as elaborate or as realistic as some peoples’ pits, but it’s evolved into something very functional, bearing in mind that this is on my normal, every day desk and not a dedicated cockpit.

Displays:

  • Main display is an Acer UWQHD monitor.
  • Secondary monitor is an LG 4K display.
  • PFD is displayed on my old Lenovo Tab4 tablet running Glass Cockpit.
  • MFD is running on my HP Spectre x360 flipped over into tablet mode. It’s running an Android emulator and the G3000 MFD app (available from flightsim.to).

Controls:

  • Logitech x56 stick and throttle
  • Logitech Multi Panel (autopilot)
  • Logitech switch panel
  • Logitech rudder pedals (under the desk so not visible in this pic)
  • Elgato Stream Deck XL

I wondered what your setup looked like.
I want that Stream Deck XL, but I’m waiting for a $199 sale (I’m a cheapskate).
Very nice.

Stream Deck is an amazing addition to any setup. It’s been a killer addition without a doubt. But as you’re well aware, it’s not cheap. You’ll love it when you get it though.

Up until today, I wasn’t really using the tablet and laptop, but decided to get things set up to see how they work out. I do thing I need some reorganization though so I can get things laid out a bit better and get the PFD and MFD side by side.

What do you use the stream deck for? I thought it was cool and I’ve been looking at that but unsure why I’d need it haha

General purpose buttons that I don’t have available on other controllers for one…
(some AP ones are duplicates of my Logi panel),

Control for radios

Transponder

The Stream Deck plugin is still being developed and expanded. It’s limited by the SDK and SimConnect atm, but as support for those expands, so does the capability of the Stream Deck.

That’s pretty sweet, I’ve still got a few things to add, definitely worth considering.

I likely wouldn’t have gotten the Logitech Multi Panel if I had known about this thing. I can duplicate all its functions and then some. Ditto for the switch panel. But I like having the switches and gear lever as physical things…

Ya I do like the physical feeling of the gear lever and buttons for immersions sake. maybe I’ll get a stream deck instead of the multi panel though… decisions.

My old FSX setup was basically a 22" monitor, one thrustmaster T16000 and a Samsung tablet all running on a much older system so my new build is quite a bit ahead of that lol

Did you have to manually program all this stuff in? is it fairly intuitive?

Cool setup, but duuude… you need a bigger screen :sign_of_the_horns::wink:

It’s funny… I actually have the Bravo Throttle now, and even with its AP functionality, I still prefer the Logitech Multi-Panel. Especially the backlit buttons.

@Tr1cky is about to release a driver that supports running twin Radio Panels (which I have), and I’m looking forward to that, but in hindsight, seeing those pushbuttons on the Stream Deck for changing radio frequencies, sounds so much better than spinning the knobs forever on the Radio Panels. By the time I finally get the proper frequency dialed in and the swap button pushed, I’ve had ATC asking over and over, “Did you hear my last transmission.” Ugh.

It’s not too bad. There are some pre-built buttons for AP functions, the radio panel, transponder. Otherwise it’s not too bad. Takes a bit of getting used to and learning where to go find the variables. But the guys developing it are pretty helpful in this thread. CHances are, if you need a funciton, someone already did it and can share it.

Yeah, particularly with how bad the encoders are on the Logi panels. And the fact you don’t have the dual dials like you would on a real radio. After getting the Stream Deck, I would never want to spin knobs.

Here’s my meager setup. Also have a Bravo Throttle Quadrant on order, supposed to come in 12/28 then ship to me, same state/city so shouldn’t be more than a day or two after that.

Really enjoying seeing people’s pits (er, never thought I’d post that, ever, lol).

I was especially interested to see peeps using various add on monitors, iPads etc for added functionality, like instruments, maps etc.
I just added an old 27" 1080p monitor on one side of my 32" 1440p main monitor.
This morning I remembered that I have a 1080p 10.1" outdoor panel that I used to use for FPV flying r/c models before I got my Fatshark goggles, that fits nicely under my main monitor and is really handy. Also have a tablet on one side for Navigraph Charts.

Photos when I get it all set up properly

Using Air manager on lower screen that is a touchscreen. Often use iPad and WinTablet as well as MBP for Charts and plates.

Love that Super Ultra Wide. I was going to go that route but decided on the 34" instead.
I have my Reverb G2 standing by, waiting for the December 23rd release of VR.
If that goes well, then I won’t care how wide my main screen is.
