Silly question…what color gray did you use on your overhead panel? Thanks
Sorry posted to wrong member…
…what color gray did you use on your overhead panel? Building my own panel and want to be realistic as possible. Thanks
I bought the panel from opencockpits.
Lol! Did you just buy a simulator! Haha, looks amazing
It took me year to build it. Here is a video

That’s amazing. Well done! I was just joking. It just looks so incredibly professional. Are you planning on putting it onto a 6Dof type platform;)?
And a million dollars ![]()
The official colour shade used by Boeing is Federal Standard 5956 36440 (light gull grey). However, OEM part manufacturers may use slightly different colour hues. For example, IPECO use British Standard 381C-632 (dark admiralty grey) and Gables use RAL 7011. This said, often an airline will ‘touch up’ a lightplate that is damaged or faded - this introduces a further colour variant.
Love it. (Dummy text to add more characters)
I posted some of these pictures in the original thread in the Alpha forum, but I might as well do it here too… note that I am not running MSFS on this setup because there is no multiple-view support which I would need to have the proper 180 degree view. The sim in the pic is P3D, and the cockpit shell elements you can see are just the VC displayed on the projector screen - but it works and is pretty immersive. It’s a work in progress.
Looking forward to the day when I can run MSFS on this… Asobo, that’s my challenge to you ![]()
Hi, here is my cockpit, which really ain’t much of a pit. But now that the Nordics is out, I guess my setup goes with the spirit of scandinavian minimalism (though darker scheme instead of white). When MSFS came out I was still on my entry level gaming laptop and over decade old Extreme 3D joystick. Since then it’s been a complete upgrade, and I’ve tried to get a good bang for the buck and find a good mid range setup that is focused on the most essential things, also to suit DCS and Sturmovik when needed.
Cool… I bet there’s a way to insert a screen into both lateral windows.
My flight sim setup:
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Processor
Memory 64 GB [32 GB x2] DDR4-3200
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 - 24GB GDDR6X - MSI GAMING X TRIO (VR-Ready)
Motherboard ASRock X570 PHANTOM GAMING 4
Aorus FV43U 43 4K gaming monitor
HP Reverb G2
Honeycomb Alpha Yoke
Honeycomb Bravo throttle
Thrustmaster TPR Rudder Pedals
X52 Hotas
Logitech G Farm Sim Side Panel - used for cameras and extra buttons
VoiceAttack 64 bit with HCS Aviator voice pak for voice commands, this works really nice and acknowledges your commands
So I decided to upgrade from the super ultrawide monitor to a Hisense 55" U8g TV with great specs and reviews for gaming. Came Thursday and hooked it up today. So far I’m really liking it! The extra vertical resolution really makes it more immersive as when I look up at the sky I’m literally looking up whereas the other monitor only had about 13" vertical viewing. I did have to order a new hdmi cable as my current one, while it supports 4K, won’t support that at 120hz. So that I arriving Monday. Anyhoo, only one day so far but I’m liking it currently. Here’s a couple of lame pics.
Yes thumbs up here for that monitor as well. Just got that exact model a couple of weeks ago and really love it. Make sure your HDR is on in Windows and the sim for even more zing.
Anyone here flying 270 degrees with three 1080p beamers? F.ex. Centurion 2? I know, MSFS doesn’t support this yet…
If so, how is it? Just curious if the picture doesn’t become blurry because of blown-up pixels on a 1m high screen.
Hopefully I don’t disturb the discussion in this topic too much with this question. If so, please advise where to move it.
Enjoy your day!
Specs please? I ask this because there’s a 270° teasing my greed, somewhere not too far away…
