Nice setup and uncluttered…How does it fly???
haha, hi, and thanks. my desk actually sits inside a small closet, in order to maximize the space available in the small room it is in. the Bravo unit sometimes gets in the way of my right knee; other than that, having the Alpha on top of the desk and the throttles lower, is more “realistic” and i do like it. more items to install, as i just got a standard StreamDeck and StreamDeck+ to add to it. they add alot of convenience and are fun to use.

I have been contemplating on switching from 3 monitors to 1 49" ultra wide. How do you like the view from the pilot seat when flying?
In the first few days, I struggled a bit with game sickness because I wasn’t used to such a large field of view (FOV). But now, I wouldn’t want to miss the expansive field of vision anymore; I am still thrilled :). However, there is a perspective distortion at the edges of the screen, but it’s not dramatic for me since it only affects the peripheral field of view. For me, it has significantly enhanced the immersion.
Been reading along here already for a while. Decided to share my dual setup here. Laptop is not supporting more screens. I’m surprised how well it’s performing, I don’t need to change any settings compared to flying using just the laptop screen. But I do have to switch off the laptops screen as soon the hdmi is connected, otherwise I do get a FPS drop.

Just added the EFIS, MCP and FMC/CDU to my simpit. ![]()
A big game changer, i don’t have to fiddle around in the virtual cockpit to set values when flying online in VATSIM.
I use the airbus throttle handles because they have an extra button. (so i can map both TO/GA and A/T disconnect). Unfortuantely the boeing handles only have 1 button.
I also have a buttkicker under the seat.
Can you please show a picture the same as this picture of your desktop but this time with your screen view translate more forwarded to the 4 windshields in the picture.
I would like to see this dearly in case for screens around to get an impression.
Thanks in advance

Is that the Wheel Stand your throttle is mounted to?
I like that your setup is really simple and organized!
Got me confused for a sec before I read jk
Yes i mounted my throttle on a Wheel Stand Pro.
i like it; the more “inside” the cockpit you feel, the better. I just wish the images were more stable and that alignment was consistent from craft to craft, as well as inside to outside views.
Do you have some more photos of the ceiling, from the outside? I’m curious how you build that. It looks like it has some curves.
I’m building A2A Comanche, too.
There are some nice Air Manager panels for it now, in case you haven’t discovered since making your post ![]()
If your into 3D printing you could have made some G1000’s for a fraction of the cost. I built a couple a couple years ago. The prints and circuit boards are even better now.
Very clean build. Nice.
Thank you!
I actually did build a PFD, but I spent more time building than practicing flying! I am training for my PPL in a DA-40.
