PowerSTOL for FS2020 now with Floats

You will need 4 wheels and a rudder on the back

This is a real one:

… and this is the Bush League Legends mod for the MSFS Xcub …

Yes I know, what I posted is only work in progress "-)

So, some rough idea how it should work is done. You cant imagine how tricky was to make animation for retraction of front wheels. There is really not much space

Work in progress:

  • new bigger rear wheels 20cm instead of 18cm. It holds most of aircraft weigt. Had to resize the wheel dock.
  • added some details to float holders
  • modeled and animated the water rudders

I also calculated the volume of floats. It is 213l each without any gear holes etc.. (real volume) so it means it should be ok for 270Kg max weight of aircraft.

That is EPIC! Any idea of when the release might be?

Thank you, there is much to be done untill it will be ready for release. I hope 2-3 weeks and it will be out, but really take it as rough estimation.

Of all the paid aircraft available, and I have most of them, this is my favourite (well okay it’s a toss between this and the Spitfire, but come on, it’s a Spitfire).

Looking forward to this float version, it looks great

Yep I agree with ya! My favorite was the Zenith 701, but the PowerSTOL has edged it out. I absolutely love flying it. The float version just makes it even better. I have the Spitfire as well :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
