Previously selected livery not active when I launch the sim

Free Flight

I purchased the FSR500 on the FS2020 Marketplace, and was able to enable it in FS2024. Everything seems to be fine, except that it always defaults to the first livery in the list (UrbanGold) instead of the livery I’d chosen in the last flight (ArrowNavy.) “Save and Back” only saves the selected livery for the current session. I’m forced to re-configure the plane each time before a flight to use the livery I want.

I think that report also covers what you are reporting: Aircraft variant and livery setting is not saved between sessions. (it did in 2020)
The aircraft selection from last flight should be saved not only when you quite the sim and launch it again, but also between 2 flights, without leaving the sim.

Is a bug with all msfs 2020 airplanes inside msfs 2024.

Asobo is aware, i notified them during dev Alpha, will get fixed eventually.

It seems this issue still hasn’t been fixed…? The last variant and livery are only saved for all Microsoft/Asobo aircraft, but absolutely not for 3rd-party aircraft :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I’ll need to test it myself in SU4 sometime next week before I remove the Solution checkmark.

I think you can confirm…? All 3rd-party variants and liveries are not saved in the free-flight aircraft selection menu.

I tested two different aircraft in SU4.
Each flight was started on Runway 4 @ KLGA.
I ended the flight, exited the sim and reloaded each time.

BKSQ Bonanza Pro (2024 Native)
Tested three different liveries. Each time the aircraft loaded with the previously selected livery.

FSReborn FSR500 (2020 Native)
Tested four different liveries. Had some inconsistent results.

  1. Loaded Aurora livery - came back as Aurora
  2. Loaded FSReborn livery - came back as Aurora
  3. Loaded FSReborn livery - came back as FSReborn
  4. Loaded Emanation livery - came back as Emanation
  5. Loaded Lime Green livery - came back as Lime Green

These results can be interpreted in a couple of ways, and are by no means a complete test.

Thanks! But I don’t have these two 2024 native aircraft. So I can not test it…
But you can test it with the Got Friends Wilga or the WBSim Cessna 152, if you have it installed… :slightly_smiling_face:

I does not save the variant and not the livery. When I start a new flight and select an aircraft in free flight, there is always the first variant and first livery available.
