Problem with a320 FBW

Hi everyone after weeks and weeks of problems with the steering on the FBW a320 i have Finally come here to see if anyone can help me out. Problem I have is mainly on Take off and landing. the plane seems to want to veer off the runway and wont keep straight. Just to say I think all my settings are out in the control settings and I am completely lost on how and how they should be set. so if anyone has any idea or any YT videos what could really help me out get this whole thing Right I would be very Grateful. I also have the FENIX plane but gave up on that as that just veers off the runway and I cant stop it doing so. But I want to fly my FBW one.

Thanks Everyone.
Meery Xmas to all.

It does really sound like a control binding to the nose wheel steering issue… Especially since you are seeing it with both the Fenix and the FBW, which are not known for this issue afaik.

There is a new-ish control binding for nose wheel steering in the controls menu. See what that is set to.

What happens if you use the tiller on the FBW? If that works, then check to make sure you have tiller connected to rudder in the EFB.

Do you have nose wheel steering enabled?
If so, have you confirmed you have the correct command bound to an axis on a controller?
Another simpler issue you probably already are aware of is to check and ensure all piloting assists are off in the Assistance Options.

Hi everyone and Thanks for getting back to me and trying to help. I have not long got in from work so Im logging onto MSFS Now to see if I can do what you say. I will go into controls but will try the fbw a320 first with all asists off. I think I did that before and still the plane was veering off the runway. but weill check now.

Just set the FBW a320 up on runway lined up with centre line I have turned all assists off and I have Enabled separate tiller from rudder inputs. is there a way of keeping that nose wheel straight on take off because just tried taking off was ok for few seconds and I could not keep it straight on the runway just started veering off.

You need to assign nose wheel steering to a controller axis if you have that option selected.
I would leave that option alone for now if you do not.

just took this screen shot of nosewheel someone mentioned

Try unchecking the reverse axis, see if that helps.

just tried that unchecking the box. now the wheels are turning wrong left is going right, and right is going left. put tick back in and steering in right direction.

Do you have any other control bound to Joystick L Axis X?
If not, the next thing is to play around with the sensitivity settings.
You may need to experiment in either negative or positive directions until you find something that is good for your setup.
Some setups and aircraft can require a fair bit.

I will have a Look now may take a bit of time but will get back to you. I think all this stemmed from fiddling about with settings for my fenix plane and not flew that once yet. just hope I can get this going soon so miss flying properly but just to get the FBW A320 up and away would be my dream once again.

Just took these few pages what I have for you to look at mate.

I do see your Joystick L - Axis X assigned to the ailerons.
This will cause an issue.
The nosewheel steering requires its own axis.
Remove the assignment for the nosewheel steering you are showing in your initial pic.
When that is removed, the aileron controls will steer the aircraft on the ground.

Ok yes I thought you was going to pick that up. I have just took the assignment out of nosewheel. will try it again now.

Hi Thesevenflyer I have tried that but have no tiller steering now before that I could see the nose wheels turning..

You may have activated the tiller in the FBW flypad.
In the flypad settings - realism, ensure “Separate Tiller from Rudder Inputs” is off as well.

Ok I will check that. Im Pretty sure I did do that but will double check.

I have Disabled “Separate Tiller from Rudder Inputs” but no change mate.

OK, so to confirm, does this occur with a vanilla sim, with all addons removed (other than the FBW) ?
Does it occur with the default aircraft?
Also, when you have the controls screen up, does the axis display respond to input from your ailerons?
