I have just spent 5 days trying to work out why I could not get any flights to start regardless of which airports or aircraft I chose. I did 4 complete re-installs in the process.
This morning I finally found the answer… It was to do with a single add-on which I purchased from the MarketPlace. The culprit was the “Sprint N & Fall S - Seasons Pack”. This add-on changes the trees to give seasonal variations. In the latest update, work was done on the trees… When I finally deleted this add-on in the Content Manager, everything worked perfectly.
If you do not have this add-on, I would suggest thinking about add-ons that have a global effect on the sim and try removing them. Ideally, remove all content that you have downloaded from the marketplace and empty your Community folder and then go through the painful and laborious process of adding a single add-on at a time, restarting the sim and testing.
I hope this helps
Please see my response to Plumped9196. I had this exact problem. After 5 days of investigation I have finally fixed the problem.
Ok. This resolves the “Not responding” failure. In my case a mesh marketplace addon.
BUT! The CTD’s are still here. Right after Pushback plopp back to dekstop

Are you using any more Marketplace Addons? A320FBW is causing CTDs as well, if you use the one that was released in the marketplace. If this happens at every airport it could be an issue of an addon that works globally - like airport enhancements or those lvfr airport vehicles things.
Sorry for the trouble you had.
I posted this in my official forum here that I have a fix for this since a day before SU5 releases:
Until marketplace updated the file I sent them, if you want an updated season to work with SU5 please send me a screenshot of seasons your purchased and I send the updated files.
It is such a pity that you are having to fix a mess that the Marketplace is STILL ignoring.
