Hi @MagicQuasar1176 ,

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

How are you closing/shutting down msfs?

After I complete the leg of a flight (and get the ‘Leg Completed’ confirmation), I go back to the Activities Menu, and from there click on ‘Back to Main Menu.’ From the main menu, I then click on ‘Exit to Desktop.’

I noticed that there were some similar threads about progress not being saved in the Grand Canyon challenge as well as some other activities.

I can confirm that completed legs of bush trips are no longer visible post re-start of FS2024. This is definitely a bug and was introduced by the SU4 update. A pity as bush trips were still flyable in FS2024 up to SU4.

Those issues need to be reported to the 3rd party developers of those bush trips. If needed they’ll contact Asobo development team through the dedicated support SDK site.

It happens to me as well. I purchased Alaska Wilderness package not far ago. I had been trying to figure out why my progress doesn’t get saved for a few days now.

Seriously?

This is happening with ALL Bush Trips / excursions in MSFS 2024, whether from the marketplace or 3rd party trips designed for both 24 and 2020.

There are also parallel reports / threads on progress not being recorded & saved in multiple other parts of the sim such as the Grand Canyon challenge and more.

This appears to be a similar and maybe related issue?

I honestly think there is a widespread problem with progress in flights not being recorded / recognised properly since SU4.

It affects bush trips the most for my use, and it was a clear problem in the SU4 beta. I reported it right away, but I suppose there aren’t that many bush trip fliers in 2024. Now however, it’s affecting other parts of the sim but “not recording progress” seems to be common across all these issues.

Just to confirm, this relates to all trips in the 2024 market as well, and the issue has been present and reported since the start of SU4, to no official response:

Progress in Bush Trips not recorded in SU4 Beta? - Alpha/Beta Archive / SU4 Beta Archive - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

I want to see this resolved ASAP, so just to confirm - do I (as the user) still need to contact whoever developed these trips that are sold in the MSFS marketplace, and request they ask the MSFS team to look into the issues?

Hello Support,
I have a lot of bush trips for the MSFS 2020, both as freeware and as payware. Bush trips are a great enrichment for the simulator, but somehow they are treated like stepchildren because they only work very limited in FS 2020 and not at all in FS 2024. All my customers who have switched to MSFS 2024 want to be able to fly these bush trips there too.
On January 22, there was an update for FS 2024 and I had hoped that at least the error shown here would be fixed. But nothing happened. All the missions offered by MS/Asobo were faulty from the start. When will something finally happen there?

Hi Koschi, and thank you for adding your comment.

Like many others, I have flown and enjoyed a large number of your Bush Trips in MSFS 2020, and found them to be fantastic - enjoyable, sometimes challenging but beautiful and well thought out.

I’ve had some limited success moving Bush Trips designed for 2020 into the Community Folder for 2024 and getting them to work in the new sim. Not all the features always work, and there can be some mid-trip glitches in graphics or non-existent airports, but a good number can be fully flown and enjoy the physics and graphics benefits of the new sim.

Unfortunately the 2024 situation where flights are not logged and recorded properly has bought any use and enjoyment of multi leg bush trips in MSFS 2024 to a hard stop. There is some more discussion (and a bug logged) in this thread:

Flights logged dropped from logbook - Bug Reporting Hub / User Interface & Activities - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

I hope that more respected 3rd party Developers like you can join in to help raise this issue and have identified and resolved.

Thank you again for your comment, and until they work again in 2024 I’m off to go and enjoy your trips all over again in 2020.

Disappointed to see that SU5 still hasn’t resolved this issue, but has instead introduced some additional problems such as with tobii operation.

Backing out of the beta is pointless for me, since flight logging doesn’t work in that build either. Will stay in SU5 and check back when there are any updates, but any actual flying will be back in 2020 again for now.
