Promises For Improving The Sim Vs Degradation Severe Path For Features!

Comparison by screenshots of the feature degradation between 2020 vs 2024:

1- Quick access menu for aircraft by pictures, for both 2020 & 2024:

2- Hangar that utilizes camera angels inspection with background info about planes (only in 2020, totally removed in 2024, causing the degradation, which contradicts to what has been promised to improve the sim):

3- Conclusion: 2020 gives you a value of collecting planes not just for flying them, by inspecting them as a collection at once, having your own dedicated place for accessing and showcasing them, & most importantly, having background info about them.

if thats not degradation happened, then the blue is red like 1+2 is 9

Hope devs reconsider this severe path.

For whom wants to document, please note that this topic is not for bugs, its for degradations, meaning there is a feature in 2020, that has been canceled for 2024 or presented in it in a low quality status. so that doesn’t include features that hasn’t been implemented before in either sim.

This idea came from the head of Asobo studio when he said in today’s dev stream that they like detailed reports on forums, so i gave it a shot.

For future posts who wants to participate. thats way degraded features can be focused on too beside bugs and wishlisted features, which has their own dedicated categories.

The plane filters (Prop, Jet, etc.) have also been degraded in their granularity =(

And look how much wasted space there is on the plane selection screen, resulting in smaller images of the planes.

Sliders for fauna, ground vehicle density, static aircraft, etc. have been removed on Xbox.

The ATC comms panel is not resizable and only shows up to 4 options at a time.

The ability to view aircraft interiors in the hanger prior to flight is gone.

No AI piloting.

Cannot open aircraft door without entering/exiting the plane.

You can vote for this specific feature that has been significantly degraded In 2024, @ this wishlist topic, so you can show to devs you want that feature back & is important to you, not just by expressing that by writing:

Regarding Aircraft models in selection menu, they fixed the tiny models:

& Thats a step forward, still there is no single piece of background info about a single piece of the 125+ official Microsoft planes, more half of that background info already exists in 2020.

& Not having a hangar that utilizes complete inspection for aircraft for the whole set of planes (not just for one for preflight like is currently available) is still a big piece missing that was magical rendered degraded.

Hope they continue the improvement path, & bring back what has been degraded or canceled. patch 1,2,7,0 looks promising for the improvement path, but still to gain the value in 2024 back, there is significant phases still have to be accomplished.
