Proper Turboprob Engine Modelling

The modelling for the PT6 engines of the King Air is completely broken , We are increasing torque during the climb not decreasing it as it should be. The prop controls don’t work correctly and there seems to be a Beta mode lacking.

I can’t really vouch for the TBM since I haven’t flown a real one but compared to the Hotstart for XP11 its not much better if I am honest.

I’d bet that it’s the old FSX turboprop modelling/ That was always broken. One can hope that they work on it someday.

That thread is pretty old. There are many topics about this - some bugs are linked in here:

Please look into working on the turboprop propeller range and turbine simulation. The different reactions of propeller pitch angles vs throttle settings at different density altitude.

Also the possibility of having different turboprop types:

Free turbines like the PT6 series or M601/H75
Geared turboshafts like the garrett TP331, GE T700, and Allison T56.

They all have different procedures and ways they all react to different conditions.
