Provide Checklist and Confirmation of Walkaround Completion

REQUEST: It would be great to have a notice, when entering cockpit, whether all walkaround items have been completed, or which ones are not completed.

WHY: I have spent several hours learning about the walkaround feature, since it seem to be required for any cold and dark start. After I look all around the plane/helicopter and remove chocks and pitot covers then I open the door and get in. Spend a lot of time carefully going through the checklist to start up. But some aircraft just don’t start.

So, is it a bug, or did I miss something in the walkaround? I don’t want to report false bugs.

This is all so different from FS2020 and far less immersive when you have to fake your way around the aircraft before you can get it to actually use it.

Hmmm the checklists definitely have these included, at least the 172/the VisionJet

You are correct. I think the Skycrane is missing it. I found only chocks to be removed, but then couldn’t move the collective at all, so didn’t know if it was a bug or what I missed.

Checklists are not auto completing anymore. If you liked that in 2020 vote for it: Copilot reading Checklists - bring back this feature

I didn’t want to create a new wishlist item, but if you think I should, I will.

If walkarounds are going to be mandatory (for any aircraft) change it so we can simply click on the blue dot. Don’t make us move around trying to find the angle/distance we need to be from the item. If I see a blue dot and click on it, then do the checklist item.
