PS5 Marketplace 3rd-Party Availability

Any purchase this is the info I received

“We have no access to the accounts and billing departments for Sony, so any refund requests must be made directly through PlayStation support and any refund requests are subject to their return policies”

However when you make a purchase from the MSFS marketplace it doesn’t show on the Sony transaction history, there for its lost within the void

Sheesh. Guess MS was so confident that no one would ever request a refund on PS5… :man_shrugging:

Fingers crossed the 737 will return soon.

Great info though at least players know now :skull:

And MS too. If they dont know it, they can’t fix it.
Thanks for taking the bullet for the rest of us, Welsh.

Hahaha welcome :flexed_biceps:t3::rofl:

Indeed. But at the same time, we have to see that communication with Microsoft on these kinds of issues has greatly improved. Something we seriously appreciate.

Who is responsible for refunds for 3rd party aircraft on PS5 then - especially if there are no receipts?

Not from my understanding,

When i tried for 737-800 MSFS said its down to Sony but Sony don’t have access to purchases made within the marketplace well its not within the transaction history.

The only thing that is in the transaction history is the purchase of the SimVerse Coins but again Sony won’t refund the Simverse coins as they have been spent.

So when you have an issue where you purchase a product within the marketplace on PS5 and it is instantly removed according to Zendesk its down to Sony but as above no history of an aircraft purchase soo :eyes: who is really protected here

Yes, this really is not fair to consumers.
MS really need to up their game here it has got to be 100% illegal to behave this way!
Continuously passing the buck here, of responsibility, is I am sad to say reprehensible!

I have made a PENDING wishlist request - not sure if it will be approved or not

Further info from Sony

Not allowed as it is not a base simulator change. But I am advised one can make it a discussion topic if you want.

I disagree with the decision to not have the wishlist due to both MSFS and Sony saying the other is responsible.

So here is the info.

  • MsZendesk for MSFS state its SONY responsibility to reinstate coins.
  • SONY say they have no access or record of marketplace purchases within MSFS to reinstate coins.
  • SONY When you purchase in-game consumables on the PlayStation™Store outside of gameplay they will be delivered to you when you next launch the game. This means that, provided you do not launch the game after your purchase, you will have up to 14 days from the date of your purchase to cancel. If the in-game consumable has been delivered to you (for example if you launch the game immediately after your purchase) you are not eligible for a refund unless it’s faulty.
  • SONY If you purchase in-game consumables during gameplay, they will be delivered immediately. This means you will not be able to cancel your purchase unless it’s faulty.

So the big concern is that you are covered if something is faulty on PS5 but neither SONY or MSFS have access…

You probably are not aware of how refunds are managed by MS on pc’s.
You are only allowed 2 hrs use within a day or two to become eligible for a refund.
Basically saying to us that is long enough to know something does not work.

The crucial point here is they, Zendesk, do have a record of your purchase o PC. Whereas for PS5 consumers nodody has a record - allegedly!

The proposal here is for MS to urgently discuss this situation and provide a solution.

However, I don’t know if it is worthwhile for you to start a separate refund chat thread. This is because even folk on XBox and PC are cross about the way the system does not work.

Refunds are rare even on those machines because they do not give adequate explanations about why they are refused and seemingly most are.

Sounds worthy of a thread of its own, where it can get a proper headline like “Refund not possible on PS5” and the exposure it deserves. In here it will eventually get drowned by addon releases and risk disappearing out of view.

PS5 players, I have made a bug report - I hope it is allowed - please go to this page if you hope for change

JustFlight’s 146 Professional released yesterday for 280 simcoins. Might seem like a steep price, but it’s an extremely top quality plane, with alot of extra perks and several liveries. Has received several large feature updates, and never any update fees.

The modenrized version of the 146, the RJ professional, will follow and there will be a discounted bundle pack (likely 56 or 112 scoin reduction)

Deimos Inc has entered the PS5 marketplace with the A-6 Intruder (100 scoins) and the glider-trike(?) Tanarg 912 (66 scoins).
The 2020-version of the Tanarg was kinda nice on Xbox, as long as expectations are kept low. Probably not the most realistic addon.

Every week I use MF2024 and fly to different airports (WSSS, WMKK, UUWW and so on) and they annoy me.

Why don’t developers create new scenarios/airports for PS5?

The party you paid to.
