PS5 - Random control inputs in SU6

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Please mention in your comment whether you are using a Thrustmaster HOTAS 4 or 5 when this issue occurs/doesn’t occur for you. Thanks.

I am getting random button presses. I am not sure if it is related to the Hotas. But I’ve had random camera movements, gears being lowered and, worst of all, the sim unpausing! Also happens in the menus and is most noticeable while binding controls.

I am using a Dual Sense, Hotas 4, Mouse and Keyboard. SU5.1 was fine.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Intermittent, but consistent.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Play the sim

  2. Observe random control inputs

  3. Test the above with and without any Thrustmaster HOTAS peripheral you may have

Hey! I am having the same behaviour on PS5 with a HOTAS 5 setupped in PS4 mode (PS5 doesn’t have anything binded by default so it will be a pain to setup)
Random presses that causes plane to shut off, efb to open and so on

Similar here, to me:

This only happens whenever ‘Hotas 4’ is in use

‘change to external view’ and/or ‘Autopilot disengage & engage’ ‘engine autostop’ happens PC-12, 300e, da40…

this happened first at SU6 beta at bushcraft, at then i was not sure it was my binding or beta bug (at diamond D40 like every 10 min.)

Using: dual sense controller+keyboard+mouse+hotas4 (ps5)

Could be wrong, but I suspect this is related to the new Thrustmaster SDK, which, let’s be honest, could have done with a bit more love and attention. :slight_smile:

Same thing happening to me. Thought I had accidentally dual binded some controls on my hotas 4 but no. Landing gear keeps going down on its own, parking brake automatically setting, thrust increasing when I’m trying to land even though I am not moving the throttle at all and going into go around mode. All using the A320neo v2. Assuming this has all come from the thrustmaster update

I have the same Issue here, also i use a HOTAS 5 in HOTAS 4 Mode,… firt time i tought i have a mistake, but no, many random Inputs,…

Come on Asobo, you brake the game again, i cant belive SU 6 is even worse than SU 5 for PS 5 players.

I have the same problems after the update, ghost inputs, external view switching, gear going down etc.

This really needs bug logging and hopefully more people come forward and mention this too so the devs can see it, as it’s becoming impossible to fly with the hotas 4. Last night trying to land and on the glide slope, thrust randomly increased into go around mode. Tonight, lined up on the runway to take off, ground spoilers disarm on their own, parking brake goes off and flaps go back to 0. After takeoff, once I’ve raised the gear, the parking brake randomly gets set and the landing gear comes down again. TWICE in the space of a few thousand feet. Once the videos upload to the PS App so I can save them to my phone, I’ll upload them to this thread. Sim update 6 or the thrustmaster update has ruined this game using the hotas

Same issue. TM Hotas 5 in “PC” mode, picked up as Hotas 4 on the PS5. Also using keyboard and mouse. The majority of instances have been view changes, going from cockpit to external.

As you can see the landing gear keeps going down on its own TWICE just after I’ve taken off. You can see on the ECAM as well that it now says parking brake set and I get a master warning light flash up as well. I am not pressing any buttons on the hotas at this point. The aircraft is in autopilot and I keep getting random ghost inputs like this ever since the update. I will post another video of ground spoilers and flaps disarming when I get the chance

Noted the same, for me the airbrake deploy randomly, and at the same time the camera shifts to 3rd person outside the aircraft.

This is so true,

For ps5 user with hotas ‘The tragedy is calling!’ every time we takeoff.

We need hot-fix, or at least publish a notification for ps5 hotas users!

I haven’t had this problem yet; I use the A320 and the Boeing 777 (which I bought for flying).
